Pulling the pump down

I was told by my DR that I need to work on pulling the pump down and I have been trying post op but it doesn’t seem to want to budge… I’m only a few weeks out but wondered if the window is closing?

Does anyone know if they put enough cord to be able to make it move (I’m also a bit scared to pull too hard) …..

At the moment I can easily access the bulb but having issues dining the release button due to what feels like some fluid there or swelling… it is tender as well.

Also it’s right in front of my left testicle which doesn’t hurt yet but with the low T over 20 years mine are atrophied so I don’t hang much (which is frustrating)

I read about guys having that problem before I got my implant 4 months ago.

I asked my doctor about it prior to surgery and he said that is a sign of an improper installation.

Mine is in the back down low in the center. Its a tiny bit lower than my balls.

Crotalus,
Keep pulling as your doctor said. I was quite swollen and had a hard time, 1- pulling the pump down, and 2- finding the release button.
Time and patience will be the key to complete healing and once again enjoying a rock-hard penis. Talk/visit the doctor with your concerns.

I don’t agree that it is necessarily a sign of improper installation. I think it could be the way people heal and the development of scar tissue.

About the time the swelling went away and I could pump without discomfort, my pump had decided to place itself way high in back of nutsack at a really difficult location to access. The doc and his PA told me to pull on it. I was never really clear on how much or how hard or how often to pull. What I did was slow, steady, gentle pulling. Nothing violent.

At 8 weeks not much had changed. The PA reassured me that if it didn’t relocate, they could move it surgically and it wasn’t a big deal to do so but they practically never had to, and keep pulling.

Somewhere between 8 weeks and the 3 month mark I went to sleep with it in an inconvenient location and woke up next morning with it in a nearly ideal location.

I asked why and the best answer they (Doc & PA) could give me was that even after you think you’re healed, internally there is still remnant swelling and healing going on and sometimes you just have to be patient.
