Well here are some better views of the incisions

First the abdominal

Then the scrotal

Looks like you're doing great David. Good luck on a speedy recovery.

Interesting to note difference in entry points for the IPP surgery. My incision was just above my penis and I only have the one incision. I guess its a matter of prefernce by the Doc.

As far as progress, i had sex for the first time this week and it worked great. Even with the one tube, the erection is rock hard. most of the soreness is gone and I'm just working on the stretching now. I pump it til it hurts (about 12 pumps now) and then let it sit for 10 minutes and then give it two more pumps. I seem to be adding length and girth each week.

Good luck on getting back in the saddle!

Steve,

My surgeon generaly likes to go from below, also he didn't have a choice. Notice the large RP scar above.

I would only have had the scrotal incision if not for a world of scar tissue blocking normal reservoir placement. From what I can find either approach is comparable, and the choices is more to what the surgeon is comfortable with. In my instance though, his choices were limitted.

Notice needle spot on glans, where needle for draw tight threed went through.
Look to scrotum, you can see outline of pump bulb.

That is the earliest of my "good" after surgery pictures.

Damn, I didn't even realize I had had a incision in my scrotum. I am clueless.

If your surgeon went the abdominal route (incision above penis) you didn't have one in the scrotum. Most implantations only require on incision, either or. Me, I hit the jackpot!

Yes, I had/have an incision right above my pubic line.

That is why no scrotal incision. You were fortunate and nothing got in the way, so they could do everything from above. Most Open RP guys have scrotal incisions, too much scarring above. When there is old scarring in a few places you get a nice pair of incisions. For me, thank the Lord, they are healing quite nicely.

I had the robotic surgery for my prostatectomy, so the scarring was minimal. I have just 5 small holes in my abdomen, However, if I had it to do over again, I'd choose traditional open RP and not robotic.

I think now the robotic is over-hyped and doesn't yield any better outcomes. I had both severe incontinence and ED, thus the AU in 2011 and the IPP in 2012.
