My four year IPP update and an apology

I made a promise to the Franktalk community that I would give yearly status updates. I am very late with my 2022 status. My 4 year IPP anniversary was in October. I am late because my wife and I have been working through numerous obstacles related to sex and intimacy as we age. I am 71 and my wife is 72. We have successfully navigated these issues and along the way we have accumulated quite a bit of experience and very useful sources of information related to sexuality and aging. This information applies to both male and female issues. The motivation for having the implant is considerably greater if men have a partner able and willing to continue being intimate. I fear many men give up because their partner has lost enthusiasm.

My research has revealed much information on human sexuality. There is so much I didn’t know especially about changes with age. Organizing all the issues, information and references in a logical, concise, and readable way that would be useful for you has been more difficult than I anticipated. I am still working on it. Please let me know if this is of interest.

Now a quick status: I and my wife are very happy with my AMS 700. The IPP has made it possible for my wife and me to stay sexually active and intimate. Our approach and bedroom practices have changed dramatically; however, our satisfaction level is still high.

For now, I offer those new to the forum my detailed experience as I struggled with ED and worked through the difficult decision to have the implant. Please see viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15678

Gene- I would very much be interested in your research. I’m 3 days post op and navigating new territory. My wife of 37 yrs and I went through many of the same feelings you shared in your 2020 post, but only in the last few months. She’s terrific in every way, so if there are pro-tips from a veteran that you’re willing to share, I’d appreciate it very much.

What an outstanding post and a must read for anyone considering an implant gene.

Thank you for taking the time to consolidate your thoughts, experiences, and conclusions. I’m approaching eight weeks postoperative now, and very optimistic!

Great post Gene and I am sure many would like you to help them through some difficult times by sharing what you have learned.

The biggest problem we faced is my wife has a severe stenosis in her spine which affects her hips and thighs. She is limited in how long and how wide she can spread her legs, some days it really bothers her others not so much. The solution for us was to communicate about it, she was reluctant to complain and always wants to please, now I encourage her to tell me how her hips feel, whether she is cramping or if we need to change position. Trust me, there is always a way to get the dick in the pussy, there really isn't a bad way.

When I developed ED and was first on FT, I would discuss with my wife what I learned, it really opened up a door for us because she never liked talking about sex, she would say, "Just do it, don't talk about it." Now we can talk about anything, good communication solves a lot of problems, and the problems are never as great as you anticipate.

Great you came back Gene to tell your story, thanks.
There are so many guys who only see all the negative posts about implants because so many guys do fade away after they found their fix and new life. You can't blame them, but it would sure help some guys decide if they saw more positive posts. Especially younger guys who may be on the fence.

Gene- maybe the PMs aren't working, I don't have anything on this end. I've also sent ThailandBound a few PMs over the last few days and he's not replied. Maybe the system is down.
