I had an AMS 700 cx implanted on 1/19/23 and went to doctor for a follow up visit and instructions on the use of the device 5-1/2 weeks later. Now, 3 days later, the pump is VERY hard to squeeze. The model device I was given is much easier to squeeze. Why? Does anyone know? I’d really appreciate any advice you can provide.

I can only speak of my genesis pump on my Titan, but…. For the first several months my bulb was very very hard to mash. It was pretty much a two handed job ever time and I struggled to get 6-8 pumps in. As it breaks in it happens so gradually that one day you just realize about 5-7 months in that wow!! This thing is much easier. Now at 10 months it’s a one handed job and only use two hand at the very end if I want it stone hard.

The key chain pump that is in your package is non-working. It is not moving fluid and does not have the valves in it. The implanted pump is made very tight to last. When you start to inflate the pump does 2 things. The first is to move the valve to inflate mode. That is more difficult at first as the pump is self-lubricating. The more you use it the more lubrication for the parts, and it will also soften. Even more difficult early on when some still have pain and swelling in the scrotum.

I had an AMS 700cx 24cm installed in October. Is it harder to pump now than it was at the doctors office? My doc had me pump it up as he watched 6 weeks after surgery. If it is more difficult he needs to know.
I’m sure you are still tender as hell down there. Are you sure it’s not that?
Mine is only hard to pump when the tubes are rock hard. Have you tried releasing the pressure and then pumping up? Maybe a dumb question but we don’t know what you tired.

when I was sore in the scrotum the pump felt hard as if it were crystal, instead it was my sore scrotum that made the pump feel very hard, maybe this is your case too?

Am I going to damage anything if I keep it inflated for any length of time this early on?

Yeh its a bitch at first, find use a 2 handed approach the pump is designed for a long haul so it’s stiff, give it time. I remember the first year I was designing a hand held tool based on a cherry pitter to in able easy pumping lol.
You will get this
