Implant despite successful injections

Hello everyone,

first of all thanks to everyone. You get really good input and help here in the community.
I am someone who uses injections successfully and where they also work well (for 7 years now). However, I am currently reaching my "limit", which means I date a lot and have 3 regular acquaintances with whom I meet for sex at certain intervals . I love the injections and they also give you that natural feeling as he grows but the uses are limited and I've been going more than 3-4x a week. And since my sex life is fulfilled and it will remain so, I am now considering taking the step, because one is not so limited in terms of frequency. I am of course aware of the risks. My concern here is to hear whether men had the injections even when they couldn't go anymore, although they would have preferred them when making a choice, or whether the implant compensates for the disadvantages from their point of view.

Couple of questions for you:

1. How good are your erections when injecting? Works good, lasts a long time? Able to change position without losing your wood? Any priapism-related worries or trips to the ER?

Injections used to work great for me for about 3 years. Within those 3 years, effectiveness diminished despite the dosage and strength increasing. Full strength trimix + 1/3 the syringe would give me 1/2 hour of a great erection, then all bets were off. I raced against the clock to finish (unsatisfying for partner, the time pressure).

I frequently will have sex morning and evening. The second injection in 24 hours usually was less effective than the first. I was exceeding the recommended frequency of use weekly routinely. Also, my dick would typically be sore after the second injection.

Veinous leakage was diagnosed, and with a known cause, proceeded with the implant.

2. After 7 years, any scarring? That becomes a factor for your surgeon when getting implanted, though most guys report no issues post-surgery with injection-related scarring.

Dr. Perito says that “the day of your last erection is the day your dick officially begins to shrink. It’s not the implant that causes penile shrinking, the cause is ED itself”. The reason? Poor blood flow “dries up” the tissues that normally engorge, like an old kitchen sponge that’s set out too long and has dried up. Since the injections were still working for me as i mentioned above, erratically, I WAS still getting blood flow, the doctor noted my healthy tissue in examination….so for me, it was game time. Glad i did it.

I’m 2+ months postop and am already glad i did it. But, im adjusting, as we all do (and must) to a certain “new normal”.
a. I can feel the cylinders in my penis when flaccid and do have the famous “Titan Krinkle” at my base when flaccid. Neither hurt, and nobody but me would notice the krinkle, but that’s a thing. As another member posted, “I did this for maximum sex, not maximum flaccidity”.
b. I have a bulge now where i didn’t before. It’s comfortable in my pants and easily pliable. I like this aspect very much.
c. With injections i pointed hard at 1:30-2:00. Im closer to 2:30 now. Harder i pump, the higher it points.
d. Don’t expect that pumping in an unaroused state will make your dick look just like your injection-dick. The injection stimulated blood flow, thus engorging you. The implant does not. My unaroused inflated dick has an often-reported “oval” shape. Fortunately since i had no arterial blood flow “in” issues, my aroused dick rounds out, glans swells, and it gets even more veiny than before.

Personally, i’m glad i did it while the injections worked. But the sun was setting on the effectiveness, and do i feel i hit the sweet-spot in terms of timing.

btw. i leave for Thailand tonight. I’ve masturbated a few times now and everything works, but will be fully inaugurating my bionic dick in just a couple of days with my girlfriend there. Can’t wait! ….and i can now travel 24+ hours and not worry about keeping my trimix cold!

Injections work great. I can control it so that it lasts from 1-4 hours. NEVER Priapispus. No scar tissue after 7 years. I just had it checked last month. It's all about the number here. 4-5 times a week. and I could have sex a lot more often.

For me personally I would say no. Not worth the permanent loss of a natural dick. As long as it’s working perfectly well with injections I would accept that 3-4-5 times a week is enough.

I agree with Rider. Enjoy your injections while everything works. When the time comes, you’ll be ready, and informed.

not for me either, Monday is 7 weeks out, the pills still worked well at doses one and a half times the maximum, injections in Italy are impossible, only alprostadil which works little and causes pain, I did the implant, I didn't 'I had ever done, it sucks compared to a natural cock even at 50%, an implant is just nice to see the aesthetics, then it feels like crap

What kind of injections do you use?

If you're getting sex that often an implant would be my choice. I used injections until they didn't work anymore before getting my implant. But if I had known about implants before I took the first Viagra that's the way I would have gone. I hated putting drugs in my body not knowing if there would be any side effects or long-term effects.

hello and thanks for your information. I really have to think about it calmly and try it first with injections until the point comes or I have a girlfriend again who, like my last one, wants sex very often. then I also think that I will take the step

If I knew injections would always work like that initial small BiMix shot that would give me 3-4 hour reliable hard pain-free erections--then NO would not skip to have IPP surgery.

However, almost all guys eventually struggle with ineffective injections/higher doses/ pain from TriMix...and ultimately waste a few years fuckin around with less than optimal injection sex when they could have IPP sex which is MUCH better than unreliable pills or painful and /or unreliable injection sex...
