A very close friend of mine had gone thru radical prostectomy due to cancer and now is about a year out and looking to get an implant. They weren't able to spare any of the nurses And had to take out a lot of surrounding tissue. Meds aren’t functioning good at all and his urologist in central Arkansas has highly recommended this Dr. Gerard Henry from Shreveport Louisiana. From all I can find on him he is a very high volume implanted and has even written many publications about IPPs. Anybody out there have any first hand experiences with this Dr? Thanks in advance.

I assume you meant to say that they couldn't spare any of the penile "nerves" (not nurses) during the radical prostectomy, which is one of the awful potential "side effects" of a radical prostectomy.

We're not here to discuss prostate cancer and the pros/cons of the various treatment options. So, I'll leave it at that. Fortunately, there is a solution for this problem for him.

I don't know anything about Dr Henry in Shreveport but a simple word search yielded a list of 46 matches, a number from men who said they were implanted by Henry and were happy with the results.

See: search.php?keywords=Gerard+Henry

Houston and Atlanta also aren't far away from Shreveport and, since many men here rave about Clavell in Houston and Haaky in Atlanta, it would seem prudent for your friend to consult with them as well.

Best wishes and good luck to your friend!

I don't have experience with him, but I heard from a top class surgeon that he is one of the best in the penile implants surgery.
