So I am scheduled for a doppler on the 3rd and surgery on the 4th with Dr. Hakky. I have one day left to cancel and get my deposit back. Per Dr. Hakky's instruction I have been using the VED 10 minutes daily. I have also been using a traction device. It's been 4 months since my injury and I have gone from 6inches girth to 5.5in girth in this short time frame. However, the VED and Traction has been helping I think. I have regained NTE's but it's with 20mg cialis daily which is 4x the recommend daily dose but my side effects on it seem tolerable. injections scare me. I think my erections are useable for sex but they are still not nearly as strong as before. I am thinking maybe i'll get a second opinion via doppler before I fly out and that Hakky will tell me if it's a bad idea at his doppler?

But I don't know what do you guys think?

In my opinion you should be 100% committed to IPP surgery,if not hold off,you can always reschedule!Your doctor has a good reputation and I’m sure you would have a good outcome, but again if you’re not committed to it,hold off and get other opinions!Just my two cents.I love mine!

Hillywilly -- I have read most of your many posts -- sorry to sound out of line ,but my god man, just do it -- Hakky is a wonderful guy and great high volume surgeon. Give him a chance to calm your nerves and instill confidence in going ahead. I greatly look forward to having you join the happy brotherhood!

I think it’s very common that those of us who do make the implant decision experience varying degrees of doubt and apprehension as the big day arrives. You still have some squares you need to fill before you are ready.

Fill them. Then decide.

Just do it!

I had problems with my erections when using viagra and Cialis toward the end of 2020, my erection would start getting soft at the end of our intercourse, especially after I would cum and even before I would cum.
I had a benign enlarged prostrate, so the doc wanted to take care of that first, which I did, 19 May 2021, using the Rezume procedure.
After the Rezume procedure, I had total ED, nothing would work, pills or VED.
So as soon as I healed up from that, we scheduled to have the implant done on 5 Nov 2021.
It was tough for just those few months, I don’t know how some of the guys on FrankTalk have gone without an erection for years!

It’s the best thing that I’ve done, I don’t have to worry anymore about when to take a pill, because meals can affect how the drug work.
I just say, Honey can we have sex tonight and I’m 100 percent ready to go.

My opinion is to just go ahead and keep the surgery appointment, you won’t regret it and you can get back to having great sex with your wife!

Good Luck!

Ditto . . . what everyone else has already said.

Do it and get it over with.

Don't do it, if you're still not sure.

You can always reschedule but, just remember that, if you can't get it up at all anymore, your dick will atrophy and you may never get back the length/girth if you wait too long.

From what you have told us, it doesn't sound to me like you should get an implant. It has only been 4 months. That's not very long when it comes to penis injuries.

I have HG when semi erect too.

Yeah I had a bit of an amphetamine addiction off and on over the years. When on the drug I would engage in flacid/semi masterbation sessions that would last hours and sometimes even days. I am 100% aware this is not at all healthy and avoid the behavior but in november a girl gave me some adderall and I relapsed and masterbated for 12 hours. Had a bit of an hg before that but after this latest session it got really bad.

Yeah I think it would be easier to know if I were married and have some input but I'm single. Had sex because I thought it was getting better a little over a month ago and it made it worse. I wonder if I should try again? Can't really know if it works well without using it. Masterbation erections are Ok and i'm gentle but not rockhard like they were before the injury.

Question for me is. Has Hakky said that your injury is as healed as it will get? Does he hold out much hope for improvement for you? He is the pro in this discussion. His opinion should rate very high.
Just a minor warning. If your mind isn't 100% sold on an implant. Please be prepared for some dark days during your recovery.
Oh, please work on your addiction issue. It would be a shame to do something stupid when under the influence that harms your implant.
Mull all this over & good luck.
