Does extensive stretching help with getting a bigger implant

Just curious - do you think consistent stretching allows for a larger/longer implant to be placed in when the time comes for IPP surgery or is this just a waste of time?

Please add speculations, references, or speak from your experience

Thanks all!

Most doctors do agree that using VED pre-surgery, allows them to fit bigger implants in.

There might be some studies on it.

Personally, I did a lot of VED/Restorex pre-surgery. I am 5 weeks out and am about 1/2 inch short of what I was pre-surgery, and I only just started cycling 2 days ago. I also received the tunica expansion procedure though.

I've read that men whom have undergone revisions after having an implant fail report that they are often implanted with a larger size implant than the one they had initially.

That seems to indicate that stretching does happen internally over time. I don't know whether that translates to stretching or pumping you may do on the exterior of your penis prior to implantation.

Anecdotally, I started VED about 3 months prior to my surgery 3+ weeks ago. I did it primarily to stop any further atrophy of my penis because I was not having quality erections in my sleep, which feed the tissue with oxygen and keeps it healthy. I had a very noticeable change in my flaccid penis size over those 3 months. My doctor was supportive of me pumping prior, he just asked me to stop a few days prior to surgery to eliminate any bruising I may have caused with the pump. I figured it was a one shot deal, I'd be measured ONCE for my implant and I didn't want to look back and wonder if things would have been different had I pumped. I'm glad I did.

Yes. There are 2 publication's in the Documents Worth Reading" thread in the general discussion section of this site. The first documents progress with VED use before implant. The second is a bit farther down and is called penis exercise.

What VED use does is if you have stopped having nocturnal erections is to help keep the tissue healthy. Some doctors say ED causes size loss and the only thing that stops it is the implant. Size loss is in 2 categories. Restorable and non-restorable. VED use and mild stretching can restore size loss that is not lost for ever. The AMs LGX is also able to expand a lot more than the Titan. And over time will also be able to restore any size loss that is not permanent, I have over 1/2 in permanent size loss and I had gains in length well past 1 year with cycling. Table 1 in this publication shows that much larger ability of the LGX to expand in length. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5654325/ Revisions past 5 years show larger devices used in a large percentage of cases.

VED use prior to surgery for at least 6 weeks will help the doctor use a longer device if you have size loss. But you need to take care as improper VED use can cause damage and cost you size loss. In this case less is more and More is less. Apply vacuum very slowly as even low vacuum applied too fast can cause damage and keep vacuum low (around 5hg). Same if you want to stretch if you don't have time for VED therapy. Gentle pulls out, up, down, left, and right.

You can find four studies on this below:

Thanks for the references super helpful.

Did you ever need get an implant? Even if you didn't, do you know if malleable implants always cause girth loss?

Thanks Newbie! I'm losing lost of length since my implant broke about 9 months ago! Been trying to use VED without over doing it

Whats the tunica expansion surgery? Is it a additional cost?

Search FT for TEP. Google "tunica expansion procedure". Be sure to look at as MANY of the pictures as you can find. It is a very invasive surgery with the chance of some serious downsides. I'm very certain that it is a very expensive extra cost. I'm guessing it is reserved for only the few that fit narrow guidelines.
Please check back with us after you see the pics. They make installing an implant surgery look like minor surgery.

To give a slightly more mellow reply, I think tunica expansion procedure is basically something that must be done during the implant surgery and it will expand, and thus, increase your girth. It's not too easy to google for doctors who do perform it, so it's a safe guess you'll need to find a specialist and it'll cost a bit more. About it's safety, I have no clue, but I'm likely pursuing it in the future, cause I'm a dude, and I think more girth would be cool. :)
