It mentioned that there is some evidence that those that use a VED for a period prior to IPP surgery may experience less pain after surgery than those that don't. I can only assume it's because the penis and the corporal bodies have become used to the stretch.

I used a VED for 3 months prior to surgery, twice a day. I had very little to no pain. I'm convinced that the skill of the surgeon and process he/she uses is most important, but this could have been a contributor.

So much stuff I didn't know before my implant. I actually had a VED but hardly used it. If I could go back now.

I accept this. Completely. That said, I used my Bathmate often for 20 to 25 minutes at a time. I believe that overuse of the BM had directly caused my Venous Leakage.

I used my VED twice daily fir 30 minutes, for 3 months prior to surgery and had very little pain with my IPP. I always attributed it to Dr skill. But can see where using VED could definitely have helped. I had very little swelling and very little bruising also. Started pumping at 13 days and had first sex at 3 weeks. The sex was a little uncomfortable and so was the pumping but overall I had a great recovery. Now at almost 11 months and loving it!!
