First sex with implant

A little over 4 weeks out and decided I needed to try out the new equipment.
Have a strange relationship with my spouse right now, we're going through a divorce and have been separated for 6 months, but there aren't really options for dating for me in the country we live in right now so asked the wife if she would be down for trying it out. We go back and forth hating each other's guts, but timing was right and she said sure.
some thoughts:
- I still have some swelling and a lot of numbness on the underside of my dick and half my scrotum. Also I had to wear a condom which I'm not used to. All together this reduced sensation quite a bit and ultimately I wasn't able to orgasm. (part of not being able to orgasm could be the relationship issues..it was strange as fuck being with her in this situation).
- I tried just a couple positions, a couple variations of me on top and her riding me. It didn't hurt at all like I was fearing, but maybe it was just cause I wasn't pumped up more, but it felt strange near the base, especially when she was on top and like grinding back and forth vs up and down. It just didn't at all feel the way it used to.
- I struggled being in the moment. Like pre-implant, my head regularly wandered to my dick like I was checking in on it to make sure it wasn't going flaccid. I imagine when you get used to it, this happens less and less. it's still crazy awesome that I can wear a condom, take as long as I want, and not have to worry about losing my erection.
- She knows all about the implant of course, and says in some ways that had I gotten this years before our relationship may have ended differently. That ship has long sailed though.
- When I asked her what it felt like inside, she said it just felt like a dick. I only pumped up to maybe 70% for my own comfort. She said she would have never guessed it wasn't my natural erection (even though the shape is slightly different, she didn't spend much time looking at it though).
- I asked her if she was weirded out at all by it....she said no, but I think honestly she was a little bit. She didn't want to see how it worked, but she did ask some questions. She said she was trying to hear as I pumped if it made any sounds and she didn't hear anything.
- When I'm back on the dating scene I'm going to need some strategies for new partners. I went to bed completely drained and while it doesn't take me a lot of pumps to get hard, it was still awkward at the moment. Due to our relationship there wasn't a lot of foreplay and she didn't want me to go down on her. Even with existing partners I wonder how not to make it awkward, if you're going down on her you have some time (although not always in the best positon to pump), but if you're just touching for forplay then it seems awkward to stop touching her so you can pump yourself up...I dunno, I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Overall, I'm very happy and looking forward to an upcoming trip to Thailand in a couple weeks when I'll get to have a lot more variety trying it out
