Implant on a small penis to begin with

Hi guys I’m considering an implant as I’m not a candidate for ED drugs (or at least they are very risky for me).

This is my problem though (I would like to get some real life experience before starting the consultations).

My understanding is that the implant will raise your flaccid penis and it will make it hard but it won’t make it grow (like it happens with natural blood supply)

My issue is that I’m a “grower”.

When my penis is flaccid is extremely short. I would say 5 centimetres.

When it grows with the blood gets big. I would say around 15 centimetres.

So my fear is that, even if I get an implant

1) my dick erected will be embarrassingly short

2) maybe so short that it won’t feel sensitive

3) and too short to give pleasure to women

Is there any fix for this situation?

Online I can’t find decent explanations so I would like to ear some first hand experience.

Thanks to everyone who will take the time to reply to me

The doctor measures your erect dick during the surgery after filling it with some saline and then proceeds to insert the implant based on the (erect) size he measured. Flaccid length is irrelevant to the implant. You might lose ~1-2cm after the surgery but most guys here say that thay have regained that size back by cycling. This is absolutely not a problem with implant. The main worry are infections or early failures

With an implant, your new flaccid will be closer to your erect length. If your current erect length is 15cm, you can expect your flaccid will hang about 12-13cm after the cylinders soften and break in.

That is why all guys with an implant say; “ I used to be a grower, now I’m shower”.

Thanks god.

How much is the risk of an infection or of a early failure?

I assume that if there is an early failure the doctor will reinstall another implant for free but you will still have to pay for the facility and anaesthesia right?

You won't be a grower anymore. You will definitely be a shower with a flaccid size much closer than it currently is to your erect size. And fyi you're definitely not even "small." You've got about a 6" dick, making it very much average or even a slight bit above. And you'll likely get bigger after an implant, also. Start using a VED now until a week or so before you surgery, and use one after surgery too and you will fix your erection problems and maybe end up with a bigger dick too.

Depends on what brand of device you choose (or your doctor). That is what is reported by some implanted with the Titan. It is that you always have erect or near erect length. That you are now a shower. I have the LGX. It works much like the grower I was in my youth. My flaccid can be close to the very small I had in my youth. A bit larger but not a lot unless I want it to be. I do have a little bit of size loss from ED. So my erect size is a bit smaller. I have no information on the Rigicon device.

My issue is that I’m a “grower”.

When my penis is flaccid is extremely short. I would say 5 centimetres.

When it grows with the blood gets big. I would say around 15 centimetres.

I was the same in my healthy youth.

So my fear is that, even if I get an implant

1) my dick erected will be embarrassingly short

Size loss is the most common complaint. It can be caused by ED before surgery and by the doctor during surgery. There are some really good publications in the "Documents Worth Reading" thread in the General Discussion section of this forum that cover things like VED therapy and doctors procedure for measuring. Or conservative vs aggressive sizing. If you use VED therapy to slow down size loss and maybe restore some recent size loss from ED and use a good doctor who aggressively sizes you should reduce or eliminate size loss.

2) maybe so short that it won’t feel sensitive

Sensitivity loss can happen with this surgery. Almost all will resolve over time as things heal. Takes a long time in many cases with this surgery to fully heal. Sensitivity loss has to do with the trauma of the surgery and not loss of size.

3) and too short to give pleasure to women

Being a good lover or sexual partner is less about size and more about doing the things to help you partner orgasm. Can be done with manual stimulation, oral or combinations most of the time. There are a lot of educational publications on how to be a great lover and almost all have nothing to do with size.

Is there any fix for this situation?

Read the documents worth reading thread and use that information to look for a good doctor and start VED therapy if you have no or diminished nocturnal erections

Online I can’t find decent explanations so I would like to ear some first hand experience.

Find a good doctor and make a plan. I had the same concerns you did and my local doctors were not a good choice. It took me several years to get where I could go to a well-known doctor that aggressively sized men. I did a lot of research and spoke to men who had been implanted by doctors I was considering for this surgery.

If you get a Titan you will go from being a grower to a shower. It's been my biggest annoyance with the thing since the surgery. I was always kind of jealous growing up of guys in the locker room that had these shower dicks hanging out and mine was like 1/5 the size... When I was flaccid i was maybe 2in, erect I was 7 in. Then after I got ED I lost probably an inch and a half erect over several years... After surgery I was the same width and 5.5" as just prior, now I've cycled for a while and I'm back up to 6" erect and 5.5" girth.... Flaccid I'm about 5". It rubs on everything and is annoying as fuck sometimes. A grower is better for comfort reasons. Lol. The ability to have a hard on though is best of all.

1- if the doctor sizes you aggressively, you won't lose much if any and most of it will come back over the first year... If you get a titan expect to be a shower not a grower though.

2- if you're worried about sensitivity go with penis-scrotal implant rather than infrapubic. Neither have a high risk of reducing sensitivity significantly but penis-scrotal is lower since it avoids the nerve bundle entirely.

3- if all goes well if you can please a woman before you will be able to please a woman afterward... For 3 days and 3 nights until your heart bursts and nutting repeatedly without losing your erection.

With a good doctor it's about half a percent.

In the US coloplast has a lifetime guarantee but I have no idea how that works to be honest with you, and failure early or late is of no real concern to me. It is what it is and this is way better than having ED.

There is no number for percentage of chance of early failure, it is entirely dependent on the individual, the doctor placing it, how correctly sized it is, how you use it, and many other factors. There are people on here that have had three implants in 5 years due to infections and other issues along the way and there are people on here that have had a single implant for 20 years. Ymmv.

I agree with 2435 above. My pre implant lengths were very similar to yours. Lost some erect length post surgery. But through VED and Perito exercise I gained back more than the lost length plus another inch and a quarter. I still marvel at my size :)

With a decent surgeon, your erect penis will be the same length as before the surgery.

I, too was a "grower". After implant (with AMS LGX, which preserves my "grower" status better than the AMS CX or Coloplast Titan prosthetics), I am much more of a "shower".

But with ay implant, if the surgeon sizes you correctly, your erect (inflated) penis will be the same length as your natural erection was immediatly prior to the surgery. That is, if you were able (by any means outside of a vacuum chamber) to get a 15cm erection the days before surgery, your implant-inflated erection should be 15cm. (Inside a Vacuum Chamber, you can get a 1 or 2 extra cm length beyond what you should expect naturally or implanted.)

Short or long, penile sensitivity does not depend on size.

JH1982 wrote:3) and too short to give pleasure to women

Most of the nerve endings in a vagina are within the first few cm of the entrance. While there is some pleasure gained from deeper in the vagina, different sex positions will allow even a short penis to reach those spots, too.

There is no fix needed for a woman who cares for you or who loves you. If a woman does not care for you, do not waste your time (or your penis) on her.
