Just wondering, MD Eid says for example that the Coloplast
-cylinders are nearly indestructible and also the
-reservoir most likely never fails

the weak part from the coloplast is most of the time the tubing or the pump but especially the tubing from kinking or rubbing against each other. This sounds very clear and understandable for me and I guess most of you.

I am just wondering if its not possible to customize the coloplast implant, especially the tubing, just for example to put an extra protective layer over the tubing to prevent a leakage there.

I am just thinking about it if it s maybe part of the business that they make the tubing so thin because it s an easy way to stop the coloplast 3piece from failing.

I guess all the Coloplast guys here had either a pump or a tubing failure with it ;)

The tubes are already fairly stiff. Additional layers would probably make them too stiff. Since the failure rate is like 1% it doesn't seem like a thing to worry about.
