Does your penis need to be a certain size to get an implant?

Postby aga1405 » Tue Apr 25, 2023 7:50 pm

So Im just being real - I have a small penis. I feel like over the last 10 years of having ED due to diabetes and not doing anything about it, my penis has shrunk in size. It’s literally embarrassing - but it is what it is. I have started using trimix and it has done wonders - I have not been this hard in over 10 years - probably longer.

Also, I was also born with hypospadias chordee, which means my urethra never formed correctly - my pee hole was in the middle bottom of my penis, so it had to be reconstructed to reach the tip. This has caused me to have a downward curve when erect. I am going to the UCLA men’s clinic and have asked to about being a candidate for an implant for the ED - because of my hypospadias but I am being told to not focus on the implant and try everything else first. I just want to know if it’s an option or not. Also - my penis is daily small, so would I even have enough “penile skin” to fit an implant. I am about 1.5 inches flacid - yes, I’m serious. Erect- im about 4.5. Im a grower.

Here is my question - has anyone with a small penis had any success with a penile implant? If so, can you share your surgeons name?

Also - anyone with an implant have hypospadias choredee?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

I am 41yrs old. Type 2 Diabetic. Diabetes is now controlled and I have lost over 100 pounds naturally with just diet and exercise trying to conquer ED
42 yr old. Type2 Diabetic. ED for over 10yrs. Cialis and Viagra stopped work. Tried Trimix March - July 2023 - which worked but hurt and required too much planing. Implanted on Nov 7, 2023 at UC Irvine with Dr. Yafi - Coloplast Titan 18cm - no extenders.

I have good news for you.

The implant simply replaces your corpus cavernosum inside the tunica albuginea. A properly sized implant (that is, an implant the fits your tunica) which the surgon determines the during the surgery will stretch your penis exactly as much as your natural erection does and also straightens any curvature, kinks or bends.

Coloplast implants are made of a material the is (when uninflated) stiffer than the AMS implants, so if Coloplast has an implannt that will fit your tunica, it will keep your (reconstructed from your birth condition) penis straighter even when uninflated.

Coloplast implants and the AMS CX will most likely keep your penis at near-fully erect length. The AMS LGX will let your penis shorten a bit from its fully erect length making it more manageable when flaccid. But I don't expect managing your flaccid penis is a problem, so your surgeon will probably recommend AMS CX or Coloplast implants. Note: Both makers have implants designed for small-girth penises, too. This fact is not often mentioned in this forum.

Good luck.

Use the search using the word chordee. You'll likely find members that have that condition & received an implant.

You're going to be fine. Relax, and talk to a high-volume implant specialist.

I'm not here to wave a banner for mine, but I'd definitely recommend him. Dr. Clavell. But i wouldn't hesitate to talk to Eid, Hakky, Perito or some of the others frequently mentioned in this forum. Nobody is here to penis-shame my friend. You're erect length is perfectly capable of penetration and always remember that with a woman of quality it is the man and not just his penis that she desires.
