Anyone know if these stretching devices work? Trying to preserve my length while I wait for revision.

My opinion:

Vacuum Erection Device (VED) is the best choice over any other mechanical device.

Reasoning:

Other stretching devices (clamps and tension) do not emulate a natural erection as well as a vacuum does. Applying vaccum to your penis draws blood into your penile tissues - all of them inside the vacuum chamber. Tension devices do not. It is the same as the old artificial respiration techniques used in the early 19th century where you lay the victim down and manipulated their arms to open the rib cages to draw air into the lungs. Rescue breathing (mouth-to-mouth or respirator) is MUCH MUCH more effective.

VED use is suggested for any period of time when a man does not get regular, consistent daily/nightly erections in order to maintain penis size and tissue health.

Suggested technique:

Pump up the vacuum and hold (at a comfortable or slightly uncomfortable level - too much vacuum can damage your penis) for a minute, then release the vacuum to let your penis go flaccid. Repeat for 30 minutes twice a day. This emulates the natural (usually noctrnal) erections a man gets all the time.

Advice on what to use:

Medical grade VEDs are durable, but expensive. Sex shop devices are cheaper but generally work just as well (after all, a vacuum is a vaccum) if a good seal can be maintained. One with a gauge is nice (but my medical-grade VED did not have one). One can even assemble one from a clear plastic cylinder (so you can see size changes of your penis) and parts from an auto parts store (mechanics use a hand pump to prodce a vacuum to use while repairing brake systems).

A post a few years ago had pictures of how to make one of your own. I don't have the link handy - sorry.

There are also posts about the efficacy of (60 day) pre-op VED use to make the surgery more successful, less uncomfortable for the patient and even easier for the surgeon. Medical journal articles, too.

Good read, Lost Sheep. I don't know much about stretching devices that use clamps and tension, but it's my somewhat uneducated guess that they're far from necessary and they're possibly quite dangerous since they do nothing but simply stretch your dicks connective tissue. It's obviously unsustainable and any "gains" will never be permeant. You're not gonna make stretch your 5" dick turn to 6" and expect it to stay that way 5 years from now. It won't, and it would require consistent and significant use of the device, which is very likely to cause even worse ED than before.

No "gains" from a VED are permanent either. But if you quit using one for a while you can start it back up cause they didn't break your dick in the process.

Lost Sheep so I have a VED right now. Do you not think a session of VED AND the stretching device after would be useless?

If you're already going to get an implant I see absolutely no danger is using traction safely and responsibly.

I highly recommend to use a vacuum cup/chamber based device, at least to start. I have tutorials and recommendations on my channel. But you can use something like the Penimaster Pro to play it safe.

If you want something slightly more advanced you can use vacuum based extender. Such as combining a totalman (totalmanshop.com) vacuum cups with the apex extender (massivenovelties.com). The problem is that you'd need to tape which requires to be able to get at least a chubby.

If you're feeling adventurous you can use a compression hanger like the malehanger, but only if you're experienced and are willing to take a little risk for some length rewards.

If you can't get any chubby, a RestoreX can also work. It's safe and effective and you can be flaccid while you wear it.

You should def be using a VED every day, you can combine traction and VED. Just make sure to use the VED after traction.

I’ve been using the Phallosan tension devise. It’s surprisingly comfortable which is a good thing because to be effective it needs to be worn for several hours a day frequently. I’ve been able to wear it concealed by having my shirt untucked.
I have regained length using the Phallosan devise that I hadn’t regained using VED alone. It makes sense that they could work in conjunction.

A major difference between the tension devises is that something like the Phallosan is intended to be used continually for hours. Something you can’t do (at least realistically) with a VED. You can’t wear a VED concealed under your clothes while you go about your day. You can with a Phallosan.

That has been my experience.

Honest question because like I said earlier I don't actually know anything about stretching devices, but it's my assumption I'm fairly confident in that it's very difficult to understand their benefit. Is there really any research or some video of a doctor recommending something like the Malehanger? You mentioned RestoreX. I'm curious, how does the amount of force work? Like, where's the stretching coming from in the RestoreX? With a Malehanger it's coming from weights pulling down on your dick, right?

What do those two devices have in common?

My opinion is that the stretching device would have more risk than the benefits would justify. However, my opinion is not based on any valid research, so the posts from the proponents of stretching should be taken more seriously than my negative opinion and investigated. First question to ask is, are there any studies showing stretching to be effective and published in peer-reviewed medical journals.

I was thinking that VED is something like a workout that draws the blood to the penis. I then thought stretching is good before and after a workout. So would not the stretching of the penis be helpful to stretch the tissues after the workout it just had?

No, a VED will cause edema which can then cause issues when you are stretching. Stretching is the workout, use a VED after to draw in blood and nutrients.

2435tjklAS, RestoreX has a set of springs that provide traction. The treatment zone IIRC is around 5lbs. You only have to wear it 60-90min a day.

Here's three studies that show doing traction helps achieve longer cylinders:
- https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21091884/
- https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... 2120300500

and for VED there's a few but here's one:

I go over this in one of my implant videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2jlmY9O71U
Small mistake i made in that vid is that an AMS LGX does indeed increase in length.
