Nervous and not sure what to expect after surgery

Ok a little background so you understand where I'm at. In 2021 I had prostate cancer and had a prostatectomy done that year at Moffitt. I was doing the pump, cialis, and injections and was satisfied at first but soon I had enough. In 2022 I had surgery again at Moffitt because during one of my scans they saw a tumor in my pancreas. I had a 10 hour whipple surgery with many complications and during that time of 6 months recovery I wasn't able to use injections or anything for rehab because I was hospitalized or interactions with meds. When I finally was able to do an injection after 7 months I noticed a severe deformity and my penis now had lots of scar tissue an hourglass shape towards base. I had lost alot of girth and was starting to feel ashamed.
I saw Dr Carrion at USF health and he scheduled me for surgery June 5th. He said given my prior surgeries I may end up with a malleable instead of a 3 piece inflatable. This is due to alot of scarctissue in my abdomen from those 2 surgeries and may not be able to place reservoir safely. 1st choice is 3 piece and if he can't he will place the malleable!
I don't want to walk around with an erection all the time because I feelni would have to explain myself if ever examined by a dr. Not only that bit I'm single. Now my concerns are girth with either one. I am a grower and sometimes ashamed on my flaccid length and girth, especially now with deformities. If implanted with a malleable will my girth be what's had prior to my surgeries or as it is now? Hiw about the 3 piece? Let's just say I'm 3" in girth now flaccid and once erected I go to 4" girth. Will my new flaccid be 4" girth? I'm nervous and excited at same time. Not sure if I'll be happy with outcome. Then again I really have no option. Just afraid if I meet some girl and she sees my penis and I wouldn't be adequate enough for sex. Thanks and any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

You certainly have dealt with alot over the past couple or years. I can't give you advice on the best medical approach. Please raise your concerns to your doctor. I myself am not a particularly spiritual person. However, when I am searching for answers in the face of uncertainty I say a little prayer and place the outcome in the Lord's hands.

The way I understand the malleable ones, you stay erect but just bend it down when not in use and bend it up when you want to have sex, I don't think you can gain any girth with it.
The three piece you can be more flaccid to the point nobody would know unless you tell them. You will only get to your "stretched" length but could gain some girth with the inflatable implant and it would allow you to "customize" the erection - meaning depending on how many times you pump it would make it either rock hard or semi hard or anything in between.
Hopefully they can fit you for the three piece, but either to me would be preferred than not being able to have sex at all

First off never be ashamed of what you got, and if a lady rejects you because of that she ain't no lady you want anyway.

Sorry you been through a whole lot of crap. Press on with your doctors and let them know you prefer a 3 piece if there is any way possible. Hopefully the surgeon is skilled enough to make it happen.
As far as gaining, you may be able to gain some length and girth. Cycling will be how to do that after the 3 piece is implanted and you heal enough to inflate. Length is more common to gain, girth maybe just a little.

Best of luck from a fellow Prostate Cancer Survivor whose ED was completely corrected in 2007 by the Coloplast Titan IPP (Inflatable Penile Prosthesis).
This restored both my self-confidence and the emotional bond with my wife.
My only regret is not having my Implant done sooner!
Best wishes for the best possible outcome.
Bob

I’m going to post again but if you can use a VED I would be using one twice a day for 30 minutes or so from now until the day of your surgery. You can only get implanted to fit the measurements taken during surgery be it 3 piece or malleable. So do as much as you can to get the most you can get. I used one for 3 months while waiting to get my implant and feel it helps with recovery and definitely helps with proper sizing.

Thanks for everything so far. I have one of the best dr out there doing procedure but there is always the concern of coming out with a malleable instead. He knows I really want the 3 piece. I alsonhave a clot in my leg and hiatal hernia from my whipple surgery.

Prior to my surgery I was using the erectaid manual with the pump attached to the end of the tube. I didn't want to deal with the electronic pump and I wanted to be in control of the vacuum pumping myself. The erectaid come from Timm medical. Really good customer service too.

Don't stress a malleable too much, they too come in different sizes and girths... they'll pack as much in you as they can safely. There are pornstars who have been on this board who had an ipp and changed to malleable because of work reasons. Just be sure you got a good doctor and make sure you're on the same page. Both will do everything you need them to, the ipps are just more "sneaky" (hideable)
