Yep, I'm pretty sure Medicare will pay for an implant. At least until we start rationing health care. Then only private pay patients will have implants. As far as supplements, I don't know one from another.

Merry Christmas
Medicare will indeed pay 80% and your other insurance will pay 20%. That will probably change in the future, so get busy time is awasting. I got mine in January of 2012, did not have to pay a penny.

Ditto what Daverx said, but in my case my ED was made complete as a result of radical prostectomy and the fact that it was linked to my PCa ,and not just an elective surgery, appartently made it a certainty that medicare would cover it. I not saying that it won't cover it just on the basis of ED as a stand a lone situation but if you had treatment for PCa then that seems to help a lot. I second the thought to do it now, who knows how long the present Medicare rules will last.

A PCa diagnosis and treatment in the past is certainly a big help, even with private insurance. The theory is that once there is any kind of PCa treatment the implant becomes reconstructive surgery and is treated as such. The same is true for breast cancer and breast implants for the women after any type of major breast tissue removal for cancer. Gender equality, do it for one have to do it for the other.
I was lucky enough that I didn't get the first squawk out of my insurance for my implant. Had to jump through a few hoops for injections when they were working. Though I am eligible for medicare I am still using insurance from my employer, overall it beats medicare with minimal hassle.
