Recommended implant surgeons in US

I’m looking into implant surgery and, because my insurance won’t cover the cost, I’m willing to travel to the best doctor. (I’m not really impressed with the implant surgeons in my area.) I’ve seen two doctors named on this Board—Clavell in Houston and Hakky (no idea where he is)—both sound great. I’d really appreciate your recommendations with names and locations and, if allowed, links to their practice websites.
Many thanks.

Hakky's in Atlanta -- last I heard his fee was $17K but that may have changed. I think most of the other high volume docs are more like $30K, but guys check me if I'm wrong.

Go to youtube and binge-watch everything by Drs. Perito & Clavell. You’ll be much better informed than 90% of guys considering implants if you’ll do that.

Then go back at least 2 years on this forum and read everything you can.

These are investments of time and the stakes are your one and only penis.

I have no basis for comparison, as I've only had one surgeon work on me, but I can highly recommend Dr. Clavell. There's nothing I can think of that I was/am not 100% satisfied with.

From what I've read on FT and experienced firsthand, I think Dr. Clavell's pain management is top notch. ESPECIALLY for someone who may travel internationally for surgery. Dr. Clavell does not normally install a painful catheter which requires a return visit to have it removed, and also provides you with a pelvic nerve block which can last 48-72 hours, giving you plenty of time to return to your own home to recuperate. I'm a believer that recovery is easier and less traumatic when you're in your own bed, your own shower, your own home, surrounded by familiar services and maybe friends/family. Hanging around for days or weeks to be released to travel or feel well enough to attempt it I think is counterproductive.

As ThailandBound said, this is not a procedure you shop price on, educate yourself and ask every question you can think of. I kept a running list of questions that bubbled up as I read everything I could and watched all the videos, a quality surgeon should have no issue addressing all of your concerns. That being said, I found Dr. Clavell's fee to be at the lower end of the spectrum, and after the fact I can vouch for his services to be excellent.

Hakky, Clavell, Eid, Perito - these are some of the best received and highest volume doctors in the US/world.

There are certainly other great options out there, but investigating these 4 will give you a pool of A+ options to fit your specific situation.

Those would also be my top suggestions for a doctor if you need a revision for any reason after being on here.

Also don't forget to check the mfg websites, they list high volume surgeons (coloplast does anyways) and doctors who do implants with their device but aren't considered high volume.
