Pump drives me nuts

I'm 20 days out with an AMS 700 LGS and the pump position is driving me crazy. It seems to sit on a 45 degree angle and pushes on my scrotum and even hits my leg when I walk. When I sit it feels like I'm sitting in a rubber ball with spikes. Where it does hit in my scrotum it seems like a slight burning sensation. The side where it is, the scrotum is 1 inch higher when warm. I've been icing and also found a heating pad also relaxes it but hurts most of the time.
Is this normal? Will it get better when the stitches dissolve? I'm starting to think I made a mistake getting this. Maybe a pump revision or can it be repositioned without surgery?
Anyone else have pump discomfort?

I am not fond of where my pump is, but at least it is not painful. It makes my left testicle sit high. And when I inflate, the pump body is tight up against the bottom of my penile shaft. But moving it down surgically is not worth the risk of surgery every surgery has some risk of infection, you know, however slight).
Talk to your surgeon. At 20 days it may be late to move your pump by external manipulation, but your doctor may have some tricks to try.

Actually I didn't have my glasses on when looking at the calendar and I'm only at day 13. I'm also still bruised so maybe the inside if the scrotum is also overly sensitive. The hitting on the leg just doesn't seem right but maybe after the stitches dissolve a little more slack of the scrotum will happen. Trying my best to be optimistic. I'll be seeing the doctor on Monday anyway and see what he thinks.

It takes time to get used to the pump sitting in your sack. Sitting requires careful positioning the first few months. Remember this was a major surgery, not pulling out a splinter. Healing takes up to one year, although a majority of the healing happens in the first few months. Be patient, you'll love the implant once you are healed up to use it.

Did your doctor tell you to start pulling down on the pump?
When I went back to has my catheter removed, he showed me how to pull the pump down so it would set lower in my scrotum.
He said to do it several times a day.

No. But the pump is already hitting bottom of the scrotum and even going somewhat sideways. It's on the short side of the scrotum and the other side with the testicles is 1 inch lower when warm and relaxed. Hope he didn't sew my sack too high.

My pump sits right in front of the boys, I have the same pump as you for the AMS.
I know I still had a lot of discomfort at 20 days, even at 6 weeks it was uncomfortable and that pump with the big ridges hurt to pump the first time.
I just kept doing what the doc told me to do, grasp the pump as best I could and gently pull it down so that it wouldn’t migrate to the top.
Everything gets better with time, especially after 6 weeks.
I got back on my road bike at 4.5 weeks and that was painful but it got better over time. I was concerned about the pump hurting the boys, but after a while I didn’t even notice the pump.
I don’t even notice the pump when I’m walking or sitting now. I’m right at 17 months out from surgery. Everything started getting way better at between the 4th and 6th month.
Everyone is different, but my first PIV sex at 6.5 weeks was awkward and a little painful.
Sex got really good at the 4 month point. Hang in there, I believe you’ll be better down the road, but do talk to your Doc about any concerns.

Thank you. At least I know this is somewhat normal for now.

I am 5 years down the road. I also have an AUS pump that needs to be pumped every time I pee. It is hanging low on the right side. My 700 lgx pump is horizontal. Up high between my dick and balls. Valve block to the left, bulb pointing right. I remember now in the first year, to sit down I need to lift the whole package with my hand. Everything feels natural now and everyone knows their place. It gets much better with age. Hang I there. PS, I have to remember to squeeze the right pump. I was going to pump my dick up a little harder for sex and mistakenly grabbed the AUS pump and peed all over my lady. She was not happy about that. Just another pump problem.
