Implanted by Dr. Clavell - May 10.

Brothers
Got implanted by Dr. Clavell yesterday. 20cm Titan, no RTEs. He said i have a super short crus and a big part of the implant will be outisde, he said i'll be happy haha. He mentioned everything went smooth and well, but that i had quite a bit of scarring in my crus, which i think did contribute to the instabiliy i had at the base. This is calming for me to hear, i know the implant really was the only choice now.
After waking up from surgery, i had pretty bad pain and they gave me some morphine. They said it's normal. I managed to pee a bit after like 5 hours, so thankfully i could avoid the catheter. I requested to take one with me just to be safe, cause it really wasn't easy to pee. Didn't need it tough thank god.
Now I'm in my hotel room (Marriot in medical district -quite nice hotel, can recommend) recovering. I ice here and there but not all the time. Pain is low at the monent. No pain in my balls at all. When i feel pain it's mostly in the tip and where my ligament issue was. I think the handling of the surgery put pressure on my ligament which it didn't like. This was expected though and it should heal well now that i can't touch my dick for 6 weeks.
My dick is pretty swollen and cold sometimes. I'm not too concerned cause when i walk, it gets warm, i guess it's just from the trauma of surgery and swelling.
I plan to fly home tomorrow (12 hour flight, one stop). I try to upgrade to business class with miles, but they only can let me know right before the flight if it worked lol. Hope it will work cause i'm not looking forward to that flight haha.
So far, i'm relieved the surgery is behind me and went well. I still fear what i'll see when that dressing comes off and what i'll feel when the nerve block wears off though. I'll update when i'm back home.
Cheers

Congratulations Indeed!! Welcome to the club!
Wishing you a speedy recovery and please, lots of ice it is worth it. It did help with the tip too. I also have a very short crus and Eid went from a 24 to a 22 because it is practically all outside the body. But no issues from it at all.
I do hope they upgrade you to business. Good luck with TSA! Remember if anything, they are so embarrassed if they stop you, I have made them squirm, joking about the pat down. But with lots of bandages they probably will leave you alone.
Keep us up to date!

Brother,
I’ve been exactly in your shoes. I remember that day 1 well. I too woke up with pretty intense pain (11!). The nurse was super fast in getting that dilaudid shot and i was happy as a clam in moments. I can understand why people get addicted to opioids. Didn’t have a care in the world and felt only love for my middle aged african-american nurse.
And that was IT for any appreciable pain. Discomfort. Yes. Soreness. Yes. Pain? I only needed 1 pain pill on night four when i rolled over onto my chub while sleeping. I kept waiting for something intense. Never happened. Only Tylenol. Same doctor. His pain management is excellent. I hope your result is the same.
Your day there in the comfortable hotel room feels surreal. It’s over and done, and now the waiting and healing game begins. You’ll feel life as very day by day until deflation/cycling day. (6 weeks for me). Longest 6 weeks of my life.
4+ months in now. It gets better all the time, and most importantly, it works like a champ! Best wishes to you. Keep us posted.

Great, welcome to the bionic club!
Hopefully your flight home is uneventful and easy. If there are males working the check in desk let them know about your surgery. It usually makes any guy squeamish, and I bet they upgrade you.
All I know after hearing so many travel stories is I'm glad I live within 10 miles of the surgery center.

Update - Day 3.5
Thanks a everyone for your replies. I appreciatre your support a lot. And thanks for all the info and advice i got from your journals and posts! It really made it a lot easier to take the plunge and helped me keep my mind straight.
- Flight home
I flew home 2.5 days after surgery. My flight got delayed and they had to rebook me. Of course they had to move me to economy to a middle seat lol! . But at least with extra leg room. The nerve block worked great for me, flight was pretty much painless, just discomfort from having my dick pointed up and compressed by the underwear for so long. Was a pretty long trip with a lot of walking but it was much easier than i thought.
I'd advise anyone travelling partially inflated to ask the hospital for a "plastic urinal" for travelling. Was super helpful cause i have no idea how i could have pissed in that plane toilet lol.
The babysocks also helped a lot, thanks for the tip guys!
Dr. Clavell messaged me and asked me how my travel home was going. pleasant surprise.
- Pain / Swelling
I'm now back home resting. The nerve block is wearing off and i get pain sometimes, in the sides of my shaft and at the reservoir site. It's ranging from 1-4 i'd say. Usually it's only there for a few minutes. I take the pain meds sometimes, but much less than prescribed. So far i never felt any pain in my balls. We'll see how i feel whe the nerve block is gone completely.
Swelling on my shaft went down already and my balls also are not too swollen.
- Implant impressions
So far it looks good. I didn't measure yet, but i don't think size will be an issue. I'm definelty a bit shorter, but that is expected. I hope i get back to my pre ED length of around 6 inches and might even gain some girth. Even if i lost a little bit of length, i can live with it.
Only thing that bothers me rn is the tubing on the left side seems to be a bit too long. It's curving a and pointing out a bit. Not super prominent, but still noticable. Also i feel like my pump is quite low in my scrotum. But i guess it's way too early to make a judgement. I'll heal and then reasess.
I'm a bit sad Dr. Clavell didn't take some skin off my scrotum (i don't have the turkey neck, just a big scrotum when it's relaxed haha) cause i think usually the pump is less visible in the guys with a bit tighter sacks. I don't remember the reason exactly but he said something like he didn't want to risk it cause i'm not circumsized and he didn't want the foreskin to be pulled back wihle the swelling is going on.
It is what it is, too early do make a judgement.
So far my dick feels pretty good and i feel like i already got some bloodflow when i saw a few pretty ladies at the airport lol. Didn't see if i engorged but it felt like it. Will observe.
Will update in a few days.
Thanks again everyone!
Cheers

That nerve block is a godsend. I only flew ~4 hours, but felt just as you described; no pain but just aware of my penis pointing up and getting smushed a bit from sitting the whole time.
How did you handle walking to the lavatory with your urinal thing? I made sure to pee before I boarded and didn't have to again before I got home. I've mentioned in another post that standing public bathroom urinals are terrific post-op, just stand there and let 'er rip. Don't even need to aim with a 70% chub.
I've wondered how someone would get the urinal to and from your seat without waving it around for people to see..

Truly is a godsend! I'd recommend anyone to travel asap after that dressing comes off.
"Hiding" the urinal was easy, i just put it in my backback and took the backpack to the toilet. After i used and emptied it, i cleaned it with water and soap and put it back. Worked perfectly well.
Also wanted to note for other people, i'd try to avoid having to sit on a public toilet, i wouldn't want my incision anywhere close to that.

Update - Day 11
So far i'm healing really well. I think the swelling on my dick is completely gone. My balls are still a bit swollen and the skin feels thicker, but it's really not bad at all. I can easily feel all parts of the pump. My incision looks to be healing really well too, i think it's completely closed.
I didn't ice past 2 days. What i did though is use LED Infra Red light for like 2 hours a day on my incision. This helped to keep it dry and speeds up healing a lot. Can recommend.
I get some random shooting pains in the tip of my dick and in the balls behind the pump here and there, but it's very managable. Most of the time i don't feel any pain.
I noticed that the underside of my dick is numb, and also part of my scrotum. I hear this is normal though and should go back to normal within a few months. I really hope it does.
So far i'm really happy with my recovery and the feeling of the implant. Size is looking great too. I think i can even gain some size over time. I still get good bloodflow, and hope to improve this even more in the future.
What bothers me a lot is my tubing. It's bulging out of my scrotum on the left side. I have no idea how this happened, it's too long and easily visible. It's not gonna settle with time, the tubing is just too long. It makes my pump lay kinda sideways in my scrotum too.
At first i thought my reservoir might has migrated down a bit and pushed some tubing back, but i'm now certain this is not the case. I can feel my reservoir and it's in the exact same spot from when i woke up from surgery.
I want to get this corrected asap. For almost two years of my life i was worrying about my dick every day, i'm not gonna let this tubing issue bother me everyday. I'll try to get a minor revision to shorten the tubing as soon as i'm fully healed and also have some skin taken off my scrotum in the same surgery, as my balls can hang pretty low sometimes.
I'm upset as this would have been easily avoidable in my opinion. But all in all i'm still happy, cause i think this implant is gonna be great.
Cheers
