Help. I may have a problem with scrotal incision.

Had implant on May 2, 2023. Started getting drainage two days ago and surgeon called in antibiotics. Scrotum incision area appears to be open. There is almost like a cord that runs down the middle of the incision area, see pic. Anyone else encountered this issue? Thoughts?

I had scrotal webbing removed and had a long incision just as long or maybe a bit longer but not by much. My incision was like yours. Are you putting ointment on the incision? I was using Bacitracin and was suppose to stop I think but just was automatic to put it on. Stitches were suppose to dissolve but I think the ointment being applied too long hindered that. Try to keep it as clean and as dry as you can. Takw the meds as more then one on this site has resolved an infection caught early with meds. Nothing to do but dry things out and keep them clean. A loose 4x4 sterile gauze pad worked for me and just lay around with the area exposed to air (dick off the incision like the picture and the pad over the incision). At just over 8 weeks I removed the last few stiches my self at home. Nothing to do else but to wait. Meds will either take care of it or they won't. Wish you good results but no need to worry as it is out of your control now other than taking the meds and wound care.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to stop worrying so much. Did your incision ache a lot?

Looks normal to me. I had a similar look post my surgery. It can pain and feel uncomfortable for a few days. Depending on sutures used, one has to either visit doctor to have them removed or they just drop off one by one (Black thread kind of thing)

Looks pretty normal for about 2 weeks post. Just keep it clean until fully healed.
My incision ached a lot for almost a month.

I had a lot of stiches that would give little sticks to the area around it when I dressed to go out and do stuff. My stiches were supposed to dissolve but as I wrote the last few I just removed at just over 8 weeks. It has been over 5 years so there may have been some discomfort that I do not remember.
