Hakky Implant Journal - Successful Revision

Postby Cnidium » Tue May 23, 2023 7:00 pm

Gentleman,

Some of you may remember my previous threads. I originally received an implant via Dr. Eid back in 2017. Eid's surgery and results were truly an amazing experience, and I've enjoyed my implant thoroughly. There was a time though, years after the initial surgery, where I didnt cycle the implant for ~4 months due to an extreme amount of work. As a result, the tips were unever in my glans. Many of the major doctors (Eid, Hakky, Clavell), believe that my body inserted scar tissue in the left corporal area since the tip was no longer being pushed all the way in there due to me not cycling it. This is ultimately a guess on their end, and its not something that could happen to everyone. The uneven tips also caused signifcant curvature to the left when inflated.

Ultimately, I chose to get a revision because my head was flopping to the left. I chose Hakky for the revision because I believe he is one of the top or the actual top surgeon in the US (always a matter of opinion). Of the surgeons I consulted with, IMO he had the best combination of 1. understanding multiple causes and approaches to fixing the issue 2. is a center of excellence with coloplast 3. allowed me to begin cycling very early (this is case dependent) 4. has an outstanding and arguably near-perfect record on franktalk (although no surgeon is perfect) 6. innovations in infection mitigation and surgical techniques 7. confidence is being able to handle the situation easily 8. my insurance covered him (this is just icing on the cake).

This doesnt mean I think Hakky is best at all aspects of IPPs, but i think he is the best package when accounting for all variables, and he is contending for #1 (if not #1) for sizing and infection management.

Hakky was able to upsize me, make the tips perfectly even, and the curve is greatly reduced from before (I dont think my curve is going to fully go away due to how bad my peyronies was before surgery with Eid, but no chick has ever noticed it since I had my first implant). Essentially I got exactly what I wwanted.

My general recovery timeframe is as follows:

Week 1: stayed in hotel 5 days. Preloaded fridge with food. Cooked all meals solo. Lots of sleeping. Didnt take any pain meds. Drove home on day 5, returned to work on day 6. Minimal discomfort when walking around. Balls swollen but nothing abnormal.

Week 2: Started to cycle ~1hr per day up to ~75% max. Couldnt go beyond 75%, likely due to swelling and tissues not being use to expanding to new implant siz, but I now what true max feels like from previous implan t. Discomfort when walking minimizing, swelling starting to go down. Still being careful not to exert myself. Working full time, no issues.

Week 3-4: At some point here the discomfort went away when walking. Continued cycling for 1hr per day now slowly moving up to 90% max.

Week 5: Greenlighted to return to gym. Did everyting except legs/abs, but that is a personal choice and Hakky said I could do them. Cycling up to 95% max.

Week 6: Cycling 100% max. Greenlighted to have stitches removed if they werent dissolved yet, but I could wait as long as I wanted and didnt need to get them taken out asap. Decided to wait due to work. Greenlighted for sex.

Week 7: had stiches removed at local urgent care (I don't live in Atlanta). Painless removal and the nurses were very impressed by the surgical and stitching work. Continue to cycle at 100% every day for 1 hour

Week 8: just waiting for my hematoma to go away so I can VED (hematoma gets in the way sometimes). Other than that, coast is clear and I can do anything I want to.

The hematoma may take away to dissolve naturally. Its not huge, put it does push my sac skin outward and can get in the way of the deflate button, but I never have an issue deflating.

All in all a successful and easy revision. I would highly recommend Dr. Hakky, and I consider him the best. I also recommend Dr. Eid and Dr. Clavell, and likely Dr. Perito. Different approaches from each doctors, stengths/weaknesses to each, but in general a good starting list if you dont know were to begin.

Hope this helps.
Titan OTR. Dr. Hakky - successful surgery and very happy with outcome.
My advice: choose a world-class surgeon and make yourself the healthiest you can.

Great post Cnidium, thanks for sharing! How long do you think you will use the VED 3 months, 1 year etc? Can you also share what model you use?

It had progressively gotten worse over time. By the time it was really bad, I decided that I wasnt interested in sex until I got it fixed and had already broken up with my gf at the time (break up had nothing to do with the implant issue). Any direct head on pressure to my tip would cause my head to go 90 degrees to the left and expose the right tip completely. I could have tried on some throw away girl, but it was something I would want to fix anyways so I just said fuck it and fixed it.

In one of your older posts, you mentioned hakky offering auxetic incisions to deal with your curvature viewtopic.php?f=6&t=19340&p=182604&hilit=Auxetic#p182604

Did he perform that procedure to lessen the curvature? Or any other procedure other than implanting titan?
