AMS 700 LGX - Implant does not inflate easily

Hello, i am writing this to get some help if anyone has experienced same issue. I had surgery 7 months ago with AMS 700 LGX implant. Everything went well, i was also having good life and was happy with my implant. Last month something strange happened and i feel implant is not functioning as before. Problems i am facing are

- After 4 pumps to inflate the implant it becomes so hard that my fingers hurt. before it was easy to inflate
- Even it is inflated, i can feel the cylinders are filled but not the same girth as i used to have a month ago.
- Even inflated i hardly can perform sexual activity because the base of implant does not tighten and i can not hold the cylinders. Before whenever i would push with my pelvic muscle i could feel the rigidity but not anymore now
- Even the implant is thin now, takes lots of hard effort to pump and it hurts. During the sex i can feel little pain around cylinders which i never had felt until last month.
- When i deflate, it does not drain out the fluid immediately to reservoir, i have to squeeze with hand to empty cylinders. Before i had to one touch button and it would empty almost all fluid.

I am not sure if the system is locked-out or what. I tried to reset the system by squeezing the sides of deflate block but nothing happened. Any help or suggestion is highly appreciated. Thank you

Welcome to the site. Contact your Implant rep. If you no longer have your information with your reps phone number contact BS (number is on the web site) and they can get you in contact with your rep. Most problems self correct so don't expect a reply right away. The reps have fixes that are not in the 700 dvd that was in your packet.

They should get back with you in 5 business days give or take a bit. Good luck.

if you've tried contacting the rep for assistance they can help you or your surgeon can walk through re-activating the pump.

I had similar issue which prompted my revision surgeon - one of the cylinders was actually twisted in the corpora so it was filling one cylinder inequally and leading to a lot of resistance, when I tried to pump it up. frustrating and I wish it was recongized sooner by someone until I found a surgeon that did some real diagnostic testing.

Another thing my recent surgeon recommended is trying to push upwards on the tubing exiting from the cylinders on each side. Sometimes if pulling downward on the pump it compresses and kinks one or both tubes coming out of the cylinders.

Hope youre able to figure it out.

I think Boston Scientific has trouble shooting videos.
