Implant after RP

I have a question for guys who have an implant after radical prostatectomy, particularly guys who don't respond to PDE5 inhibitors for glans enlargement.

Are you happy with your implant and are you able to orgasm without glans enlargement?

I'm concerning a penis implant and I'm concerned about sex without glans enlargement.

Any information concerning this subject would be appreciated.

Hey Buddy…I am also an inquiring mind on this subject. This is my first post on FT and I am so grateful for this community of brave men (!) and I want to thank you all. I had my RP in May of 2021 and must admit they (urology / oncology) certainly minimized the fact that you will in a high probability lose your ability to have an erection. Enter the world of pumps and needles…and the struggle pervades your walk. Truly it becomes a physical challenge coupled with the mental torment ….And a huge shout out to Tangerine and his pamphlet….it has given me hope.

I had my RP 4 years ago - an implant 2 years ago. I chose not to use injections and stayed with a VED and Viagra. Glans enlargement has not affected my ability to orgasm or wife's enjoyment - for us stimulation and lubrication are more supportive. As so often said - seek out a very experienced surgeon - understand the options available - and follow your surgeon's recommendations for pre-op prep and post-op activities.

I also think we guys have to 'get our heads on straight!' Yes - the lead up with prostate cancer - the surgery - the 2 years after - and even the first year with the implant were 'mind-benders.' But now - a well-adjusted attitude, implant and willing partner beats all!

Questions welcomed - and I'm sure others will join in...

All of my nerves were remove according to my PC surgeon. My glans was cold and white. My entire penis was cold but I could still orgasm. 3 1/2 years after implant nerves started to heal. I used trimix gel in my urethra to get glans engorgement for a short period of time. 5 years since IPP and my glans is usually pink but never gets to that purple swollen state as before the rarp. I have gone from PTSD to accepting what I can get now.

I had an Titan installed about 4 years after the radical prostatectomy. I would have done it sooner, but insurance wouldn't cover it. When I was put on Tricare at age 60 (they cover it) I had the implant a couple of months later.

I strongly recommend you spend 20 - 30 minutes a day using a VED. That will pull oxygenated blood into the penis. This will prevent atrophy which is a common cause of size loss.
Because I did the VED daily I did not loose any size when I got my implant

I had my RP in Oct 17 and got the implant in Jan 21. I really wish I had it sooner, but I didn't know about it till I found FT.
Implant won't affect your glans enlargement. You will continue to have what you have now. The positive side is, when you have sex several times a week, you will get more blood flow from being aroused. Orgasming won't be affected by the implant as well. Some guys had difficulty during the first couple of months after implant but got every sensation back after completely healing.

Had my non sparing RP 1 Aug 2019. My doc was honest with me and said I'd never have an erection again. Hard pill to swallow. Immediately started using a VED. Tried shots and they worked but too good. Had raging erections for hours and hours. Hurt like hell. I knew that wasn't going to work either. Had a consult with his associate, a female doc who specialized in implants. She didn't have to convince me. Scheduled it right then and by December was bionic. Best decision I ever made. Has given me, and my wife, our sex life and it's better than ever. Only downside is my glans does not have natural blood flow. I now use a trimix gel inserted in my urethra. A little messy and you have to time it with your upcoming sex session to do it in advance but I can tell you it works amazingly well. It not only swells the head of my cock but adds girth too. I'm 6 3/4 in length and 5 1/2" girth without it. With it I'm over 7 and almost 6 in girth.

A side benefit of being a post-rp implantee is the "never ending orgasm".....It takes a while to get there but, if one of us can keep moving, I can keep coming. And after I catch my breath, the orgasms are easier to achieve. I can keep going and going and coming and coming. It's astonishing! Whodathunk old age would be like this! Good luck man!
