Surgeries after an implant

Postby 68CatFan » Sat Jul 08, 2023 7:11 pm

Hey guys, I have an appointment with my local urologist to possibly have my left testicle removed. I already had a tender testicle before my surgery but since I had the implant put in, my left testicle feels like a punching bag by the end of the day. I emailed Dr. Clavell, and he recommended I see a local urologist to perform the procedure.
Right now, the pump and tubing wrap under my left testicle. I think since I have a smaller scrotum combined with the use of a pre-connected implant and the AMS block being so big is doesn't fit my anatomy. Hence when I sit down, walk fast, run, turn, twist, or bend over the pump smashes into the testicle and makes it increasingly sore throughout the day. I'm hoping to have an inguinal orchiectomy to remove the testicle but, of course, I'm terrified about the risk to my implant. Has anyone had a testicle removed or other surgery performed down there post implant? I'm curious to hear about your experience. Thanks -Cat

I had a inguinal hernia repaired at the same hospital as I had my implant. I told the surgeon to be damn sure she knew how to avoid the implant and reservoir. Suggest she stop over to urology and consult with my IPP surgeon if she had any doubts. All turned out well.

Before you do any surgery try doing stretches to relieve the pain. I've had this problem in the past with pain in my right testicle and this was way before I got the implant. At one time I was sure it varicocele inside my testicles that I had from birth and I had them surgery to remove the excess, but it didn't solve the problem, I still had testicle pain after I healed up from surgery.
I still get testical pain every now and then and I do stretches to relieve the pain.

Here is the You Tube video that I've used. These stretches might help, give it a try
My boys seem crowded too, down there in my small scrotum, but I don't have any pain after doing these stretches and I also road bike cycle a lot.

Cat- First off- OUCH! Mines not really a surgery like yours but I recently had tumors removed from my bladder. That was via a tube through a catheter. Made sure they knew I was implanted but it turned out the surgeon does implants too.
Best of luck. What you have to go through doesn't sound like any fun.
