Hey guys,
The deflate valve is kind of twisted, so it is horizontal. I am deflating holding the front and back of the scrotum (not side to side), makes deflating a little tricky, especially with a healing penoscrotal incision on the front of the scrotum. However, no major issues.
Anyone else have this?
I am guessing/hoping it does not cause any major issues?
Thanks,
J

Re: Horizontal deflate valve
The deflate button should face to the front.
Mine, unfortunately, is twisted counterclockwise looking down, about 80 degrees, putting the deflate button to my left.
The problem with this is the wide dimension of the valve block is oriented front to back, which makes it protrude noticeably at the front, and jab into my groin at the back.
That's really the only source of soreness I still have.
I plan to go back to my surgeon soon to see if it can be fixed.
Hopefully he can reposition it without surgery. I just had an ankle replacement, and any other surgery would be ill-advised for the rest of this year.

Mine is twisted as well, the surgeon advised that my scrotum is small and there is no easy answer, I can try and manipulate it with my hands. I am guessing this would not be worth another surgery.
Have you found anything that works?

I can rotate it manually, with some discomfort, but when I let go it rotates back to its original orientation.

Re: Horizontal deflate valve
Try pressing the release valve with the opposite hand.
When my doctor first taught me to deflate, he had me pressing the button with my right hand.
I found that difficult to do and decided to switch hands. It was much easier.
