This is my titan deflated. The dog ear is quite painful and as you can see it inhibits my flaccid from moving to the right, this causes a lot of discomfort, especially when sleeping. Rolling over in my sleep and wearing tight clothes results in a lot of soreness.

Is this just something you have to learn to live with? Does it get better with time?

First, talk with your doctor.
In my case, the irritation lessens in time.
The cylinders soften over time as does the pump,
I've had my implant 4+ years. When I inflate to the max and maintain the erection for 30+ minutes, the dog ears are more pronounced but settle down after deflation + 1 hour ish.

The dog ears are more pronounced when inflated? They are suppose to straighten out when inflated?

How long did it take for the irritation to lessen.

Mine is on the opposite side and quite hard as well. I am now 5 months out but this thing has not really softened much, i was told it will get soft over time. Not sure how long it will take to show meaningful differences.
It is discomforting in the exact way you describe. The movement of shaft from one side to the other gets very difficult.
I will let the more experiences implanters pitch in here and will follow this post.

Thanks Atul, your advice definitely helps. I am also 6 months post surgery, so, I guess we just need to wait it out.

I am hoping the movement of shaft from on side to the other improves? This would help a lot with comfort.

hello Australian, as you know I don't have an implant and I read many experiences of people with implants. Some of them commented that they gave a few pumps and the dog's ear decreased and they felt more comfortable that way, being a little inflated. On the other hand, how is your pump? stay in the same position. I can't wait to see any update on your diary. I wish you the best, I had several times to write you a private message to see how you were.

Thanks for your message.

Yes, you can give in a few pumps to get rid of the dog ear, the only issue is that, given the large flaccid, it can become a bit heavier and uncomfortable with more pumps. Dr Eid recommends a full deflate to avoid tissue atrophy as well. So, I prefer to be as deflated as possible.

I just did an update on my diary. Having ups and downs, but hopeful things will improve in the future.

I think thats quite normal for a fully deflated titan. What i do now is not really press the fluid out of the cylinders but just press the deflate button hard for like 30 seconds (maybe give it a mild squeeze) and then bend the flaccid straigt down right at the base. Like this it keeps the dog ears symmetrical and right at the base. If i do it like that that, it doesn't bother me at all.
