How long is too long while cycling?

I just started cycling as of yesterday and I’ve been doing it excitedly along with the Perito exercises. I’m actually surprised that I’m not feeling much pain while doing it, and believe I can cycle for longer than an hour. I work from home so it’s very easy for me to do this all day under my computer desk.

Is there a such thing as overdoing cycling such as stretching too much and staying inflated for too long? I don’t know if there’s limits to this and want to be careful not to overdo it even if I’m feeling fine while cycling.

I'm jealous New_Member, when I started cycling I could barely go 30 to 45 minutes without having a lot of pain in my glans and have to deflate.
All of us are different with different anatomies and probably nerve endings. I don't think you are hurting anything, just keep stretching it as much as you can before the surgical capsule forms. So, if you aren't having very little discomfort I would pump to the max and leaving it for a few hours.
At 19 months I can leave my implant fully inflated for 1.5 hours without feeling any discomfort where I would have to deflate.

Keep cycling,
S-Works

Thanks S-Works, Color me very surprised!! I had a very rough first week after surgery with pain and am still taking ibuprofen everyday a month later to manage pain. So I expected cycling to be rough as well, but in some ways it’s been even more comfortable sticking out at 3 o clock than when I was hanging semi-inflated. I also like the stretching feeling I’m getting and feel like I’m loosening up the tightness down there.

Just crossed the 1 hour cycling mark while sitting on a work meeting! Hope this helps move along the recovery well.

Fwiw, I was told by my doctor to not cycle for more than 30 mins at a stretch. I used to do it for longer but my doc asked me go reduce and told me to do 2-3 times a day for 30 mins each. Also, I was told to do it for a total of 6 months.

Good to know! Did he tell you why? I just texted Dr. Clavell to get his input as well.

Interesting you have very little pain, that was the most painful part for me was initial cycling, mainly in the glands.

Do you feel the implant 3/4 of the way into your glands?

For the first year post surgery my doctor told me to inflate the implant to max for 30 minutes, 4 times a day. And once it had been up for 5 minutes, to play with it some and stretch it side to side and up and down. Sort of like the Perito exercises and then try to pump more in. I could always add a few more pumps. He said that would be the best way to get the thing to grow. I gained about 1.5 inches in that year.

I haven't had any word from him, ever, about not going too long at a time. I've had the implant 5 years now. To try things out, I once went for over 9 hours pumped to max. After so many years of never being erect, it just felt good to be hard as long as I wanted. I've done 1.5 hours for a long sex session, as well. No problems, but I don't know if it's healthy. I can tell you after 9 hours I had a blue balls type problem.

Good question to look into. Thanks for asking it.

I can usually go well over an hour without pain, but it slowly becomes uncomfortable, which I welcome. Uncomfortable to me means I'm stretching something.

Periodically, I'll deflate just about a pump or two and fall asleep for the night that way. In the morning I can get 3-4 more pumps in for another hour or so.

I don't think there's a downside to long cycling, if you don't have pain.

I'm interested in what Dr. Clavell replies. I've been thinking of asking the same question of him.

Yes, it definitely feels like it’s 3/4 of the way in. I can press down on my glans into the tips without any pain as well. I have a smaller glans, so I wonder if that that has anything to do with it too.

Nice, I’m hoping there’s no downside to cycling for too long as well. Really the main pain I’m feeling is soreness in my balls from the prolonged pressing for inflation and pinching from deflation. I’ve already been able to masturbate to completion day 1 of cycling and it was easy to do so without any pain. Then I went straight to the bathroom to cleanup, and forgot I still needed to deflate instead of going naturally flaccid

Will let y’all know what he responds back. I think he’s on vacation right now so I haven’t heard back yet.

After surgery I was kept pretty erect for 7 weeks so I don't think it is an issue. I believe the time mentioned is a function of some men having pain or having to deflate for work, etc. I pump up as much as I can and leave it that way at least overnight pretty much every night. Some days I leave it up all day as well. Lots of sex helps too, pretty much any kind, your dick has few preferences. Going to the uro, I try to leave it up. I think having it up all the time contributes to my sex life too.
