VED to stretch penis before implant

I had my first meeting with local Coloplast surgeon. I have lost length. He suggested I use a VED several times a week for 15 minutes to stretch the penis. He said the size of implant is based on length the day of surgery.
Anyone tried this?

Yes, and with good results. There are several threads talking about the studies and protocols associated with VED use for therapeutic purposes (not for sex). Have you searched for them?

Can this therapy make you gain length and girth, with the implant already installed? o it is advisable not to use ved with system already installed

In the not too far distant past it was considered useless to use a VED even before surgery. Lately it is being accepted that use of a VED even AFTER implant can be beneficial and done without danger. Not all surgeons agree with this, but some do. I probably must be decided on an individual basis, depending on each specific case.

Yes, you can try using a VED and a traction device to restore lost length and maximize results. There is a ton of studies on this.

If you're interested, i review those studies here: https://youtu.be/C2jlmY9O71U

Yes to all. Read my first post with only some of the mountains of medical research describing why VED use is good before and after implant, and tbh they're really good without one too: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=18561&p=169469#p169469

Also check out my last comment there at the end of page 3 with how I learned to use one and which devices have worked well for me.

Go to the general discussion section of this site and open the documents worth reading thread pinned to the top. Scroll down past implants to the VED section and there are 2 links to some really good information. The penis exercise 2nd link is really good as it stresses that you need to be careful with a VED as you can cause damage. There are a lot of other good information in the implant section you might want to read.

There is only one study about VED use post op that I know of. https://irp-cdn.multiscreensite.com/d88 ... action.pdf

Your doctor is listed on that publication along with a well-known Florida doctor. That Florida doctor has been highly critical of AMS products in the past and was a Coloplast only doctor. I was really surprised that his name was on a study where every single man received an LGX device. The number of men for that study is small and they were hand-picked. Coloplast has had a history of problems with the tubing that connects the cylinders, pump, and reservoir. This may be the reason the LGX was used along with the LGX's ability to expand in length and girth. As your doctor is listed on that document you should ask your doctor. Your doctor would know if the Clolplast will hold up to VED us post op.

One other thing I would like to add. I used a VED for therapy prior to surgery and I also used manual stretching. I used my thumb and forefingers to grip my penis at the base of the glans. I would pull out away from me and back. Then I would repeat down, up, right and left. Post op I had some trouble with the distal cylinder tip location and was worried about erosion. I would inflate partially and grip my penis the same way and pull it forward off the cylinder tips and then move the tips to where they should be and released it back on the cylinder tips. I did that on my own and accepted the risk I took in doing so. You may want to ask your doctor or another doctor about doing this. You of course will accept all the risk of doing this if you decide to do so without consulting z doctor. I will say that I had really good luck with the manual stretching. Again I was careful and just used gentle pulls. As with the VED therapy more or too much can cause damage and result in reduced size loss.
