Lots of pain while cycling (7 weeks post-op)

Oh man, I’m literally sweating while I’m cycling due to the pain. Pain radiates from my head, all the way down my shaft, into my crus. Sometimes I can’t last 30 minutes and only make it to 20 minutes before tapping out. I had to take 2 ibuprofens today before 1 cycling session and I still felt pain but not as bad.

Does this ever get better? I thought 7 weeks post-op by now I would be cycling a lot more easily. I couldn’t even possibly imagine having sex with the amount of pain I feel! My boner wouldn’t go down but I sure wouldn’t be able to concentrate on the sex…

Hate to hear you’re in pain. Everyone is different. I’m 8 weeks or so out but I had 4 revisions within a year due to an infection. None of it was fun. After I got cleared I’d cycle in a hot bath and that made all the difference.

The pain has subsided as time went on but I was never in the pain you are describing.

Hopefully someone has more suggestions.

I was in a lot of pain cycling until like a year post-op. For me it was because the tissue was stretching a lot. It actually made my dick look a lot better once it had been internally stretched out by the implant through a year of painful cycling.

This is all normal. My suggestion would be to eat a painkiller 1 hour prior to cycling and then jump into a hot shower. It will get better with time. Give it a 2-3 more weeks.

WatNext wrote:It sucks now but in the long run its good news as you're probably sized aggressively. Mine was virtually pain free at 6 months, and I grew in size until over 1 year. Hang in there mate.

I’m glad to hear these responses, that it’s not just me and there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. But oh man, is the pain brutal. It does feel like stretching pain in a way, and my dick is just trying to expand my cavernosa in a way it’s never been stretched before. I’d like to fast forward past this part of the recovery please. :) When were you able to feel comfortable having sex without pain in the back of your mind?

Yeah, it sounds like stretching pains. It will get better with time.

IF NOT, time to visit the Dr. again and let him/her know what is going on. When I started, 10 mins tops for about 2 weeks, then after that, it was more tolerable, so I could extend the time.
