The grapevine has it that there are a lot of complaints about the AMS pump and hence very soon they are coming out with an improved version.

Is this true, and eventually when will we get our hands on it ?

I haven't had any problems with my pump.
It was a bit stiff at first, but softened up with use.

Took about a year for my pump to behave like they said it would from the get go. Dr said not to worry it would break in, just took a year at 3 it’s working fine- knok wood

Mine is 4 months old. Not a single problem.
Btw, my dr is in several AMS YouTube videos. At my 3 month visit we talked about stuff on the horizon. He didn't say anything about the current pump. He did say that they are having a tough time getting a pump small enough with enough volume for the upcoming blue tooth style pump. Don't hold your breath for it.

Dr Loh-Doyle works closely with AMS and he says that the new pump is expected to release before the year is over.

Probably a running change then. What problem are they trying to fix?

Seems we have men on this site with early pump failures and other early problems. Tight pumps that have trouble switching from one mode to the other. And I had trouble with just one cylinder inflating. Just like cars sometimes you get a really good one and sometimes one that has a lot of problems. And then you get some that have enough problems that you bring out a new model. The number of men here is really small and AMS (Boston Scientific) would have a lot more data and as they are working on the electric pump they may have found a better way to make the manual pump. AMS tracks problems men all over the world have with the devices they produce.

Currently, the AMS pump is one single valve that handles both inflation and deflation. Boston Scientific has apparently completely re-engineered the pump and separated the inflation and deflation valves, so that they're under much more accurate mechanisms for inflation and deflation.

Does your implant when inflated get less regid over time?

Thankfully it does not. So probably it needs some adjustment, not another revision
