When will Glans & Penis Pain Go Away?!?

Hello,

As someone who recently got implanted and on the 5th week, I know specially after reading through the great posts of the bionic men here that we all heal differently due to various reasons, ED cause, medical conditions, age etc..

However I'm trying to assess if my situation is normal by hearing various answers and will continue to talk to Dr.

I'm wondering how long did it take for those who were implanted to go pain free at the glans and its sensitivity?

In my case my glans is very sensitive and it's my biggest pain point and discomfort and wondering when will go back to normal? Does being deflated help? Still Inflated since post op and unable to fully Deflate since I'm still learning and postponed cycling from week 4 which was painful and will wait till I complete week 6.

Also soreness at large in the penis is something that makes me wonder when will be pain free.

Note: I had fibrosis at the glans and I'm a little bet oversized.

Have you started cycling? Once cycling started it took me about 2-3 weeks more for acute pain in the glans to get over. The pain mainly happened after deflation.
The soreness in scrotum takes much longer.

Tried cycling at week 4 and couldn't take as i was in a lot of pain and Dr told me to wait to week 6.

My main pain point is the glans needle like pain and sensitivity while scrotum soreness is on/off and more of a discomfort

Just trying to figure out of that's normal given that over the first 3 weeks I was on aggressive antibiotics and pain relief meds.

The pain sounds normal. Whenever you begin cycling, try doing it after eating a painkiller and then during a hot shower. That will help. I was also oversized so the pain will happen for a longer time. Unfortunately you will have to suck it up. but a hot shower and painkillers will help

Don’t get yourself wrapped around the axle with this.

Easier said than done, right? You’re living with this discomfort moment by moment snd all you want is to feel ok, have sex, sooner rather than later. As in, right now, preferably.

This glans pain will improve. You’re in the physical therapy phase and i do believe the discomfort associated with cycling and stretching is sometimes overlooked or minimized with the “i was bone’ing the missus at 6 weeks” variety of comments. It’s like, “voila!”, 6-8 weeks and i’m a new man and a lion in the sack again.

I had that rather intense glans pain too. Feeling the tips under my glans, at first, was like, “no way. this can’t be right”. Of course, my glans was not engorged nor had i had time to adapt to the push from within.

And that’s what it is. Adaptation. Think of the pain you had after previous surgeries or injuries. At the time he discomfort consumed your thinking. Now today, those moments are a memory as your body worked it’s magic and healed.

Your present condition will improve. You’ve got a river of change to cross. Stretching, teeth-gritting, adapting…slowly over time.

It’ll happen. You’re going to be fine.

Appreciate the input and suggestions...Will definitely consider both and its comforting to read that others went through the same
Thanks

Many thanks for the encouragement..much appreciated.

Can't wait to reflect on this as memory but I guess the paranoia is common with men dealing with such a sensitive part of our bodies

Yes, we all heal differently. Don't worry about being a slow healer. Once all of it is over, you'll be happy you dealt with it. It took me 4-5 months before there was no pain. Glans was so sensitive had to put a kids sock over my penis to wear clothes.

Str84wd - I am right at 3 months out from my revision, penis and scrotal pain is non-existent now. I guess I'm a lucky one in that the only real issue I had after surgery was the swelling in my scrotum. Pain after surgery was really a non issue. Right now even though I'm 3 months out, is after about 15 minutes or so fully inflated I get the pain and burn from the stretch. I'm only cycling twice a day but I'll probably try to move to 3 times a day and hoping to get to 30 minutes at a time at the least. Just takes baby steps at first and listen to your Dr and your body, they'll let you know.
