"Something Left to Lose" - Titan 26cm, Prof. Dr. van Renterghem, October 2023

After weighing the pros and cons of an implant for years, last week I had surgery in Hasselt, Belgium and got implanted a Coloplast Titan 26 cm (no RTE) by Prof. Dr. K. van Renterghem.

The thread title refers to my background/position, for more info see this thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20250#p186847

Over the past year, my last doubts about the procedure have disappeared, and I have no doubt that I made the right decision.

My enthusiasm for starting this thread is limited: I feel no urgency to share my experience and I have no questions to ask at this time. Why am I starting this thread anyway? I have benefited greatly from the forum in the past years, and by sharing my experience I can give something back to men who are in the same position as me.

From my own experience I know that it is particularly helpful to read about the experiences of men that are in a comparable situation. That is why I think that the added value of my contribution mainly lies in:

1) I have a European doctor (and not from the US, as is usually the case on the forum).
2) I have a larger penis: 22cm length x 17cm circumference (when using injections and/or cock ring + 1cm circumference and equal length).
3) I am very sexually active and have never had to deal with complete erectile dysfunction.

I don't expect to post very actively, but if anyone has any questions I will be happy to answer them.

My surgey has been a few days ago. My penis and scrotum are still bruised and swollen, but not worse than I expected. I see progress every day. In fact, today I even inflated and deflated the implant, as I had no problem locating the pump in the scrotum. This is actually planned 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. I am taking antibiotics and OTC pain medication and resting and icing the the operated area.

Ik ben vorige maand geopereerd geweest in Hasselt door Dr Van Renterghem. Ik wens je alvast een spoedig herstel. Ik heb nooit pijn gehad. Operatie is nu 3 weken geleden.

Bedankt. Jij ook sterkte met herstel. Ik las vandaag jouw post en ontdekte ik dat ik niet de enige patiƫnt van Van Renterghem ben op het forum (= "Thank you. Good luck with your recovery as well. I read your post today and discovered that I am not the only patient of van Renterghem on the forum".)

Congratulations, you have little swelling, it all looks like the operation went perfectly, I wish you the best, could you post a photo of your swollen cock, I would like to see how oval it has become, where you are from and how much it cost all inclusive

Thanks. With "swollen cock" I assume you mean the erect penis (my swollen cock can be seen in the last picture)? I will post a pic of that once I start cycling/ manage to fully inflate the cilinders.

Fot the latter question see: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=21994&p=212180#p212180 (I actually stayed one night at the hospital, so the actual costs will be lower)

How is the pain since operation?
You have numb areas?
How much was the implant inflated from operation?
