Implant and Pregnancy, United Health, Clavell

Just a few questions I thought I would rapid fire here.

1. I am guessing there would be no issues between having an implant and conceiving a child? I assume in terms of ejaculation things are still the same?

2. I have United Healthcare (UMR) and I’m not sure they cover bionic devices but have not spoken with them directly. Has anyone else had their implant covered by them?

3. I am very high on Dr Clavell from my research and the info I have obtained here. Does he offer both Titan and AMS because it seems all of his patients have the Titan.

Thank you!!

Yes

Yes, they covered mine.

Personally, I have a friend that had a bad experience with Clavell this year so not sure I would choose him but If that's your preference he does do both Titan and AMS. I get the impression most high volume surgeons prefer Titan.

Thank you!!

I appreciate that. How about Dr Hakky? He would be my number two option so what are your thoughts with his work and team?

I too am very high on Dr. Clavell, and he implanted me with an AMS CX. He went over the pros and cons of both implants thoroughly and let me decide. I had determined that I would prefer the CX over the Titan for a myriad of reasons, but before I told him what I wanted I asked him for his opinion in regard to my particular need. He recommended the CX, so we were in agreement. I know that he installed a Titan in the guy before me on my surgery day, and also made an extensive correction on a man that came to him after a botched 'discount' surgery by another doctor.

I couldn't be happier with my decision to use Dr. Clavell, and my recovery was easy-peasy. Although I had them, I never needed a prescription pain pill, I just alternated Tylenol and Advil. I flew to Houston from California for the surgery and flew back with almost no pain 42 hours after surgery.

The implant will not change anything as far as creating babies. It may help actually.
United Healthcare was my insurance. I had to co-pay 20%. Let the doctor's billing office deal with insurance.
I have the Titan and very happy with it. Used a local surgeon who has probably done as many implants as some of the top names.
