Urinary Tract Infection with implant

I am having some testing done and looks like a UTI urinary tract infection. I’m afraid that I might have to use a catheter with a broken malleable implant from long ago. Has anyone got a urinary tract infection with an implant? I’m a long term diabetic and don’t know how a urologist will go about this having an implant. Very scared of the future of possibly using a catheter due to kidney problems and emptying my bladder. Anyone out there go thru this?
