Interesting Topic of Conversation

All, wanted to get some thoughts from everyone and start a conversation on a topic that I dont really see discussed. In the past I saw most men over 50 having implants performed. Now on the forum I see more and more men under 50 receiving them, including myself. What is everyones thought on why more and more younger men are having sever ED issues compared to the past? Do you think treatments we have nowadays such as trimix viagra etc. actually cause more longterm issues? Also opiod use, finasteride and various other drugs that were not available in the past cause these problems? I know there are exceptions like trauma, prostate issues and medical problems beyond ones control that also contribute ( and I am sympathetic to those individuals) but putting those types of issues aside in this conversation. This was just a topic I really started to think hard about last night and was curious on opinions.

Based on just my experience I think the younger crowd tends to suffer in silence. More and more though the stigma around ED is getting less and a site like Franktalk is incredible for this. I'll admit getting an implant was not an option for me at all to begin with but after weighing all options and talking to qualified professionals the decision became an easy one. Keep getting tormented by ED and use band aid fixes like pills, injections etc indefinitely or go see a top surgeon and roll the dice on an implant.

I think one of the major causes is over consumption of carbohydrates. It causes vascular damage, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome. All of these conditions will cause ed. This is what happened to me. Dr Eid actually talked about it at a conference, the video is on youtube on his channel.

Its all interesting feedback because when I was in my 20s I started taking viagra even though I didnt need it, Hair line recieted started taking finasteride, obviously loved unlimited porn with introduction to the internet in late 90s, and had shoulder surgery in late 20s and became addicted to opiodes. Oh and I love carbs also. Trix was awesome for 6 months after pills stopped working then developed venous leak which led me to the implant at 45 yrs old. Only 6 weeks in already love it. I think you are right in saying ED is now more acceptable with the cures nowadays and more people are willing to talk and help others on Franktalk.

I am 47 getting implanted Jan 3 with cavell
started taking finasteride 4 years ago. Started having
issues. Pills worked for a while maybe 2 years they quit working.
I found tri mix it was like magic then it slowly stopped working
I had to go to stronger and stronger mix till the pain wasn't worth it
I cant wait to get the implant. I had no idea finasteride had such bad side effects
until I found FT. I blame my ed on finasteride

I hit 41 and was completely sick of dealing with ED.
I would have never considered the implant without reading this forum and the countless stories of the brave men that went before us.
I also believe that porn has definitely played a part in it too. I’m one of the ones that had a hard time connecting my mind with real life with a partner, still do.

Fortunately, ED didn't hit me until my mid-50's. However, if I would have been younger, I probably would have taken the same route. I think the introduction of Viagra started the move towards more males seeking help, regardless of age. Today the topics of sex and the male member are discussed like the news. In the past sex was a hidden hush hush thing.
That is a good thing though, because it doesn't matter how young or how old a guy is, if they can't get an erection to know there is help available.

I used accutane when i was 17 and then finasteride when i was 21. Both assumed to have strong negative effects on sexual health. I dont think folks 30 years ago treated acne and alopecia with such strong drugs.
On top of that, obesity has almost quadrupled since the 80s, and that comes with diabetes, high blood pressure, poor cardiovascular health, etc, so no wonder young people today are struggling.

Porn is mostly the issues I believe with younger guys and some older also. But I'm sure that some guys really do have medical issues that cause ED. Porn desensitizes your brain to a point where you don't no the difference between real intimacy and fantasy.
Just my opinion.
