Erosion

I am running out of pill options and considering getting an implant. I have read that one of the risks is “erosion.” Can someone please explain what this is and how common is it? It sounds terrible.
Does anyone know a good surgeon in Singapore? Going all the way to USA is not practical for me especially of there is a complication later on.
Thank you in advance. All advice is highly appreciated

Erosion is mostly linked to malleable implants on Longterm. It is assumed that the always-hard dick can cause erosion, but I am not sure if that really happens. I didn't see or hear about any such case. However, if the implant is oversized, this makes sense to have erosion, because the cylinders tips are forcibly pushing into the glans. But you will feel pain that will stop you from further inflating.
I didn't hear about top class implant surgeons in Singapore, but there are members here who have been implanted in Australia and India.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Are you saying that the tubes sit behind the glans? Does not even go in halfway? In the implant diagrams it looks as if they go into the glans partially.
Also is that how the “shortening” happens post operation? Because the glans do not expand.
Thanks again

The cylinder tips should go a little inside the glans (when fully inflated). Some people doesn't have them into glans when deflated. I am one of these.
Shortening shouldn't happen in any case. For the first few months, yes, many feel size loss, but it would go to the length that you had just before your surgery by regular cycling. Glans engorgement should be back to what you had before as well.

In the glans there is tissue that is the end of the corpra. I'll call it a wall for lack of a better word. Its my understanding that under constant pressure this tissue can wear away...erode. I do not remember of a case here on FT of an inflatable causing erosion. I believe this is possible with a malleable implant if the dr sizes it a little too long.
I think I remember a member that had very thin tissue there. I think an incision was made under the glans & a mesh material was stiched in its place.
This tissue usually in the middle of the glans but it can vary some. The very first thing my drs nurse did when she inspected my implant was to place her thumbs on my glans to verify that my implant tips were in my glans. This showed that I was sized correctly.
As for implant surgery in Singapore. I do not know of any members there. I suggest that you consider contacting Boston Scientific to ask them if they know of a dr there. Boston Scientific owns AMS now. Coloplast, makers of the Titan implant has a smaller market share in implants than AMS. You can try contacting Coloplast but I'm doubtful they have any trained drs near you. If you're able to travel to Australia? I've read of some modestly decent drs there.
Good luck.

Dont go to India - there are some nightmare stories from having it done there. Australia has some excellent surgeons who can do it for you and you in Singapore are not too far.
