Measurement with a fat pad

I am reading several posts on this form that speak of measuring "to the bone". I assume that means touching the pelvic bone. I have a pretty significant fat pad. When I measure it is more than an inch before I touch the pelvic bone. Is that the proper way to measure? How will I measure after implant? Touching the bone or not?

Yes. That’s considered bone pressed length. I really don’t like this measurement though and don’t typically use it, because what good is the part of your dick you can’t see. I’m pretty lean and my BPL is still about half an inch longer.
This does make an argument though as to why your dick looks bigger when you’re lean. And smaller if you have more weight on you.

it's really the only way to try to standardize measuring though. "Bone pressed" is more or less the same location on everybody, and would at least provide a basis for penetrative depth comparisons. Whether or not anyone would ever get to the point of "bone pressed" when penetrating another person is questionable.
TBH, this is a motivation for me to lose more weight. They say every 30 lbs lost adds 1" to your bone pressed length.

Correct .. Had my 3 month post-op recently and my surgeon told me that if I dropped 15 -20 lbs that I should gain close to an additional inch in length

Double correct. Bone pressed works because it averages all men together and doesn't take into account weight, which is something we can change. A fat person with a 7" bone pressed dick is still a dude with a 7" dick. The amount of this body part that's clearly usable isn't particularly important. And if he lost weight he'd still have a 7" dick. Nothing ever changes.
Weight is also sometimes irrelevant because I know there are men in great shape but have a 1" fatpad or more because bodies be that way sometimes.
Though I also believe the easiest way to understand it is this - when men report on the size of their dick, especially if they get that size correctly enough in a way supported by most other men, they gonna find the biggest size they can. Everyone. And every.single.time.

Hmm, is this true? If so it would make what I just said incorrect about how a fat dude with a 7" bone pressed dick is still a dude with a 7" dick if he got in shape. It was my assumption that when you measure it bone pressed you're pushing into your fat, and if lose weight there's less fat but your longest bone pressed measurements for fat you and skinny you all stay at 7".
Thinking about it I bet when I weighed 250lbs if I had measured it I would not have gotten to 8.75". I suppose depending on the level of fat no one can push that hard or all the way through it.

Bone pressed length equals exactly that-the distance from your pelvic bone with the ruler pushed into it, to the tip of your dick. Theoretically that measurement should stay the same UNLESS you were very overweight, in which case, even mashing the ruler into your pelvic bone, there would still be layers of fat between the ruler and the bone.
But your dick can definitely APPEAR bigger if you’re very lean since more dick shows.

Eeh, don't worry about your fat pad. In the long run it doesn't mean anything but whats in your mind. The drs don't use it for anything other than to counter claims that they shorted you. Pretty much, due to swelling. We're all short by some for a while after surgery.
FWIW, my dr uses a cheap plastic ruler to do the stretched penis test. Btw, it isn't a one foot ruler, its a 6" one. I bet that its sufficient for almost all of his patients.
