large edema at tip of foreskin after surgery

I've had small edemas after aggressive VED use in the past, but they would disappear after a day. After my surgery I ended up with a large one that, after almost 6 weeks, is not changing size. My surgeon said it would eventually dissipate but I don't see any signs of improvement. Someone could easily mistake it for an STD sore. I'm still partially inflated. Has anyone else had this problem?

I absolutely have this problem, but I'm only 2.5 weeks out. The only interesting thing that happened is after a warm bath yesterday, it really subsided substantially. I wasn't cleared for baths until a few days ago. I was really happy to see that it could change.

That's interesting. I'll know Monday if I'm cleared to take baths. Thanks, Dave.

Yes, I have the same thing, but on my left side of my head. It's really not that big of a deal for me. Although it does cause a little discomfort when my wife and I are having sex. Once it's past the opening of her vagina, it's ok.

Hey Nerdy,
I had the exact same thing happen about 2-3 weeks out from my surgery and it looked just like yours. At the time I was like WTF is going on because I had no idea what it was or if it meant something was going wrong but I also knew that there is no exact timeline for healing so I decided to wait a little longer before I asked my doctor. Mine resolved itself after about a week or so and never came back. Good luck with your recovery!

Yes, at 5-6 weeks I had one.
I found 2000g of L-Lysine twice daily and ice help to dissipate

Thanks, Bent Ben. I'll give that a try. If I can't get rid of it then I went through all of this for nothing.

I had the same, only much worse.
Here are some pics from 6 days post-op, as well as about 9 months later.
Just make sure your doctor is aware, and follow his advice. It will go away with time.

Wow, that would have completely freaked me out. So far he just said it would go away with time, but I'll grill him some more when I have the video call on Monday. I hope mine won't take 9 months to drain. I'm going to try a couple of the suggestions mentioned above to see if I can persuade it to go away faster.
Thanks for sharing, Bigdave!
