Pumping question

Feel sheepish asking: Does everyone have to use lots of lube during pumping? I kept having to add more and more. Wondering if I needed a larger diameter cylinder. It's kind of a mess to go through multiple times a day. Also, does everyone use a little donut-shaped pad at the base to improve the seal?

Any good brand recommendations?

Thanks,
David

Yes, I would lube my penis then drip 3 "strings" of lube down the inside of the tube between the base and the maximum I would stretch (7.5"). I bought cheap lube called "Equate" from Walmart that saved me a lot of money (I stretched for 2 years before my surgery). I tried 3 different systems and I found that I liked the Esteem model. I'm too thick to use the pad at the base. One of the other systems had a thin silicone ring that I used which worked well for me, like this one:

If I read your signature correctly you’re already implanted. This being the case, I’m not saying you shouldn’t, but asking if you’ve discussed or been advised by your Dr about using a VED post implant?
There’s quite a bit of discussion about this on this site. Some recommended and some strongly against. It’s totally your and your Drs decision. As for me I was implanted infrapubic and the way the tubes exit it would be a bad decision to use one. I along with a lot of guys have had great success with simply pumping, and doing the Perito exercises to help break in the implant. I recovered my full length by about the 10th month but was only down a very small amount by the 4-5 month. Just my 2cents worth. Use caution and go by what your Dr says.
Thanks,
David
