Surface skin sensation

5 weeks post implant… I know still really early, but looking for a time line on some sensation changes… the exterior surface of my penis is a bit “tender” shall I say… I can penetrate my wife, a flashlight, with plenty of lube… but manually masterbating with just my hand or my wife’s hand is a bit tenuous… the skin feels very prickly.
I have diabetes, but it’s very well controlled at 6.1 A1C and my skin has never felt like this so I suspect it’s just recovering from surgery still… anyone give me a timeline in return to normal sensation?

I'm also diabetic .. not great control 7.2 to 9.0 .. 6 months out for surgery and had a redo 30 days later so cut for asshole to elbow ... I have little sensation for the most part have only been able to climax last 2 months or so ... I have read can take a year or longer for it to get back to your new normal.

Me too. Sex during that time frame was a mix of pleasure and pain. Sometimes i’d finish. Sometimes the stinging would get to me and i’d have to tap out after :20-:30 minutes.
1 year+ postop. All good now. No pain at max.

Some have had a similar issue and figured it was some type of allergic reaction to the antibiotic products that they saturate the implants ,tubing ,pump and resivour in. I had some numbness over most of my shaft at first and still have a little numbness on top part of shaft after almost 2 years.

It may have just been me. 9 months after getting my IPP I had an AUS installed. I had the same stinging on my scrotum skin. It was nearly un bearable. Asked my doc if I had frost bitten my balls with ice packs. Even asked my dermatologist ( he always says, if it is skin it is his department) and he confirmed it was not frost bite.

Thanks for the input.
The prickliness is there regardless of inflation amount. Only sensation change I get when I pump as much as I can is an aching in my glans due to the tips banging that tissue
