I was 5 1/2 weeks post implant. No problems, my Dr. was happy with were I was in the healing process. On Saturday 3/31/24 I got out of my car and I noticed my shorts were soaking wet. I got back in the car undone my shorts and noticed what appeared to be puss everywhere. I got home and cleaned up, the drainage was coming from one side of my incision. Had draining the rest of the day. Called dr. came to hospital I had to have the implant removed. Worst day ever. I am so bumbed. I know it was what had to be done. Has anyone on here had to have a removal because of infection.

So sorry. Was not your implant replaced by another one? I have read that It is the best option to avoid other additional issues related to size mainly when reimplanted.

Due to the swelling and drainage that came up all of a sudden, in the matter 24/36 hrs. My dr. Was concerned about putting anything yesterday when he removed my implant. He said will try again in 4 to 6 weeks. Give my body time to heal.

I’ve seen posts on here where implants were removed and replace with a Malleable implant as a place hold to keep from losing size and reduce scare tissue

Hang in there my friend! there's always hope with a second surgery but its a tough road to recovery and becoming functional again.

Sorry to hear that! Hope you feel better soon! Were there any warning signs like pain and fever?

So sorry to hear this, I know how awful it feels, I was within hours or same sentence. Lots of antibiotics helped me dodge the bullet.
Keep us posted we are rooting for you!
Hugs bro

Were you on anti biotics ? I was given 2 weeks of that and other meds one for inflammation . Another for antifungal .[for a malleable implant ,done in India]
