I'm having a hard time to make decision to getting or not the implant (ams700) my urology is a surgeon and has wery good reputation. But he says that the implant haven't that good as you think, like the risks:
-sex is different feeling
-infection
-erosion (he had come cross the patient how's inflatable implant is pushed through the penis)
-discomfort
-hard to hide when swimming or bathing in public.
But my sex life is bad right now. I use invicorp injections and they work but not always and not perfect anymore.......

I'm no expert, but I've never heard of an inflatable implant causing erosion.
It sounds like he's not a very experienced surgeon.

After hearing his concerns, I don't think I'd let him operate on me.
With the right surgeon, I think you'd be happy with the implant.

Other than the Titan, I don't think you'll be noticeable in swim trunks.
Thongs might be different I guess.

And thinking along those same lines, a chunk of Skylab debris could fall on your head when you least expect it.

There are two major warnings my doctor gave me: risk of infection, and you will lose some size initially after the surgery which you may or may not be able to recover. (I only lost 5/8"), Infection rates are low with an experienced surgeon and good facility and are generally treatable. You can read posts here and discover how many have regained the lost length.

I had my surgery 3 months ago and came to "cycling" late. The soreness and discomfort are dissipating.

There’s approximately 3,000 implants installed every month somewhere in this world. A large portion of these are inflatable. Do your studying and be sure the time is right for you. Im coming up on 2 years and it was the best dick decision I’ve ever made! Loving it. If it failed tomorrow I would be getting an appointment ASAP to get a new one. Go with a high volume Dr who is confident and positive about his craft! Like Perito in Florida, Clavel in Houston or Eid in New York. These along with many other high volume implanters have a 1-2% infection rate and most problems with erosion or floppy glands is a surgeons fault for either under sizing or oversized implants. When done properly you should have great results for many years. It takes a few months but when you get sick and tired of failures it’s simply time to take control.

A mallabble implant should be considered .. guy on here called thedriver just had a Genis implanted after 4 or 5 revisions of IPP implants ...from what I have read and heard him and his wife are quite happy with it ... just some food for thought

Risk of erosion is a consideration if an oversized prosthesis is implanted. Since the standard methodology of sizing occurs in the operating room, choosing an overlong distal and proximal length, in my view as a mechanical engineer, is an error of tremendous magnitude.

I'd say it's inexcusable to measure and mess up the size.
The surgical notes should show both measurements on both sides and the implants installed.

My surgeon isn't well known, but he got everything exactly right.
He even gave me a bit of extra length that helps.

Like everyone says, you have to get a good surgeon.
I was lucky since I stayed in the area for mine.

Make you a list of questions and quiz your URO. Most of everything you read and watch is very accurate. The surgery.....piece of cake. The healing process, it is what it is. You might want to invest in one of those donut pillows for some comfort. Get you one of the small ice bags. Works better than frozen peas. NOW HERE IS MY ONE AND TRUTHFUL THING. Those pump / inflate / cycle videos are all BULLSHYT. It's not that damn simple or painless. The Pump / inflate / cycle is the worst. Especially, with that AMS 700 PUMP. That damn pump must be made of glass, stone, or hard azz plastic. I think the pump might even be made of wood. I'm at a little over 8 weeks and can't even fondle, touch, or rub that damn pump. The entire process was a good thing, but preparing to use this pup thing, I do have second thoughts.

I had my surgery on January 2nd 2024. My surgeon wanted me to wait 6 weeks before cycling. I had the AMS LGX just like you. Your right the pump is very hard at the beginning. It will start to get soft with use. My surgeon recommended start cycling in a very warm bath. I tried that but it was a pain. So I am using a small heating pad I bought at Walmart. It really helps. Wrap it in a light cloth and use it to warm up the pump and your penis. The warmth also helps with comfort while cycling. In seven weeks the pump is much easier to use.
