Let me welcome you to Frank Talk. We are all members of a great brotherhood with similar problems. I am straight, but looking back I can see that it would have removed a lot of uncertainty if I had been able to talk personally with someone who had gone before, and really I would have welcomed the chance to actually see an implanted penis before I underwent surgery. It is good to look before you leap. I am not in the DC area, but good luck in finding your show and tell. Actually that might be a good marketing tactic. I have had my Titan OTR for just over a year and I can tell you that you will be amazed at how well it works. Just be patient and give it time to heal after surgery.

You may want to ask the MD you are dealing with if he has patients willing to assist you. Just a thought.

Ask your surgeon for prior patients who might be willing to talk to you. From there you can ask if they are comfortable showing their new piece of "hard"ware! I just went for my final follow up with my surgeon and he asked me if I could be used as a reference for anyone wanting to talk to his future implantees and I agreed. And I do not mind showing and telling. I was able to find one of Dr. Jones former patients here on FT and just to hear his success story was great and eased a lot of anxiety. Good luck-by the way, Dr Jones told me I never had to see him again unless I had problems with the implant. He said he never tried to fix the problem-just implanted with a new device. Mine works great and I do not even know it is there after 4 months post op. Jim

I can tell you, since you live in the DC area, I went to Andrew Kramer, a superstar implanter in the Baltimore area. One of the highest volume guys in the world. Nice guy, does a 25 minute procedure, I think it's a no brainer to go to this guy. I'm a straight male, recovered from prostate cancer, and went to him and I think he's the exceptional. Research it a bit and give him a call-- he's really good. Tom
