diary of my penile implant step by step

Hi, today is the third day after the surgery and I decided to create a diary to tell how the whole experience was starting from arrival at the hospital until today. ..maybe it can be useful to those who are still undecided about getting an implant or to those who are about to do so. I'll try to update it as the days go by.
Day 1: 7.30 am I arrive at the Columbus clinic in Milan accompanied by my wife, I proceed with the acceptance and room assignment. The clinic looks very good, it looks like a hotel, single room with bed, a sofa bed that can be used for the companion, desk, 50 inch TV, 2 bathrooms (one with shower and bathtub and a classic one). 8.00 am they proceed to do blood tests, create venous access for the drip and measure my blood pressure which they found to be high (first time in my life because I have always had it regular or slightly low... most likely it was high due to my agitation ). 8.20am interview with a doctor for the usual routine questions on health status and privacy information. At 8.40 Dr. Andrea Cocci visited me and will operate on me. He explained the various phases of the operation to me and my wife in broad terms, saying that it will be a simple operation lasting around 30/45 minutes, trying to reassure me as much as possible. I asked him what type of anesthesia he would give me and he replied that I would decide it together with the anesthetist. (I'll start by saying that I'm a little afraid of general anesthesia) 9.00 am interview with the anesthetist who decides to proceed with spinal anesthesia (fall asleep from the waist down). At 9.30 the nurse comes in and proceeds to shave me and make me wear a gown. 10.15 am they take me to the pre-operative room where they give me a sedative intravenously. 10.30 am I enter the operating room, the anesthetist proceeds with the spinal puncture... and after a few minutes the operation begins, I can't see anything but I can hear all the conversations.
The sedative is starting to take effect on me and I'm starting to feel dizzy and sleepy, so I alternate between times when I'm half asleep and others when I'm a little more alert. The surgery is progressing and I don't know how much time has passed, but at a certain point I was alert because I heard the doctor talking to his assistant because he seemed to be having some inconvenience (which I will explain later). The minutes pass and the doctors are still working. I don't know the time but I sense that they have been in the operating room for more than an hour.. The surgery ends and I see Doctor Cocci pass by me, and I ask him if everything is ok? He replies that the surgery went well and he will come to my room to see me later. They take me to my room at 1.15pm, I try to rest but I really struggle. I'm still under anesthesia and the only part that feels sore is where I have the drainage tube, but acceptable pain. 2.30pm they make me drink some water, they put ice on my testicles and tell me that if everything goes well I will finally be able to eat something. 3.30pm I eat some soup, cheese, breadsticks and a cooked apple The anesthesia slowly loses its effect and I feel a general pain in the lower part but still tolerable. I try to rest a bit but I struggle because I'm used to sleeping on my sides and at the moment it's not possible because I have a catheter and drainage tube.
At 4.30pm Doctor Cocci comes to visit me, checks my penis and tells me that it looks good. He tells me that the surgery went well but it took much longer than expected because I had a lot of fibrotic tissue. Your words: it is the first time that with a young patient like you who has venous erectile dysfunction I have found such fibrosis... as if there were an often fibrotic ring. He tells me that he installed 18cm AMS LGX without RTE on me. He told me that he pumped me to 80% and not to worry about the size I see now because now I have no engorgement and then lgx will expand over time by about 25/30% and I will recover my size. My erect size now matches the size my penis was before with a little bit of engorgement (I was hoping to get a little more). I spend the night practically sleepless because of the tubes and the fact that I can't turn on my side and the pain starts to feel... They give me antibiotics and painkillers. Day 2: the pain is there, not only where there is drainage but in the entire part of the testicles and the shaft, the ice relieves the pain a little but it is still felt. I have breakfast, the nurse comes and takes my blood pressure: everything perfect! 9.45am Doctor Cocci arrives to examine me, he says that my penis is fine, it has no bruises and the wound is beautiful... then he proceeds to detach the drainage (painful) and the catheter (annoying). After I urinate on my own they will discharge me. I get up and start walking around the room, pain tolerable.
11.30 am I manage to urinate (strong burning) and proceed to get dressed. I position the shaft of the penis high but it's a bit painful...so I find the most comfortable position, put on the suit and leave the hospital. At home I eat and immediately after go to bed... I place 2 pillows between my legs and finally I can rest lying on my side. I continue to take antibiotics and paracetamol as prescribed... but I don't feel any big changes in terms of pain. I feel improvement when I'm without underwear.. so I wait for my daughter to sleep to go without them. I wake up several times in the night, partly because I am uncomfortable and partly because of the pain. Day 3: I wake up and feel more sore than yesterday.. I have more difficulty walking and the penis in my underwear is sore.
