Im having a burning sensation

Postby Rufian » Sat Jun 01, 2024 8:29 pm

Im at day 11 post malleable implant.

I don’t see anything wrong with my incision except some tiny pink spots where maybe scabs fell off

I was apply bacitracin to the gland and inner foreskin for a few says and 2 days i noticed the foreskin got irritated and it was itchy, i stopped the bacitracin and now it got a bit swollen, took some antihistamine

I was also applying to the head and noticed like tiny red bumps but it looks better now

I dont have any other symptoms no pus, no red lines no chills no fever no fast heart rate and ive been taking my antibiotics religiously and washing my penis with antibacterial soap and being extremely careful and sanitary

I do not feel this burning when peeing though

It comes and goes and is very mild but it started today and is mainly on the glands and i wonder if is from the bacitracin i was putting all over the head and foreskin then covering the head with gauze

Is it normal to feel mild burning now and then

I read it could be from healing or from your body reacting to the antibiotic coating on the implant as it heals or grows scar tissue around it

Im praying is not an infection cause ive been doing everything right and going an extra miles to wash my hands all the time, doubling antibiotics, etc

I googled and it could balanitis which is an irritation of the gland and foreskin caused by allergens, bacteria or fungi

In my case I guess from the ointment, took some benadryl

Im still worried and wont be come until this improves

You sound like your own worst enemy and you'll worry that poor implant to death. Treat the wound and keep every damn thing else away from your penis. You used a great dr. with lots of experience doing implants, stop trying to 2nd guess his treatment of the healing plan.

I can’t say for sure, but maybe you have had a reaction to the bacitracin. Try reading about its side effects. You could also give your Dr. a call.

I avoid commenting on MPP threads but this might be important to you. I forget the name of the presurgery soap that is used. I specifically asked my dr if I should use it after surgery while I was healing. He very firmly said to not use it. Its very strong & cause micro abrasions in the penile skin. There is a chance that your soap might be the problem.

This might be true. I had a reaction to the antibiotic that make my shaft feel sun burned.

I was sore for 10 or 12 wks. Felt like a sun burn. Still a little that way where the incision was made. Gets Better every day.
