AmS 700 LGX pump stays flat

Hey all,
My name is Mike & I was implanted with the AMS 700 LGX on 4/28/24. After my 4 week follow up appointment my doctor told me I could start pumping if I could handle the pain. My scrotum was really tender. After a couple days I could pump it like 6 times and had a decent erection but, not nearly what it use to be... I have been pumping twice a day since then. The past couple days I've only been able to pump it like 3-4 times and then the pump stays flat. I have to push on the block to get the bulb to fill back up and then reset and start all over. I do have my 6 week appointment coming up next week but I'm trying to figure it out myself if I can.
Any ideas would greatly be appreciated!

Hey Ace
Don’t panic, you’re still NEW NEW to the bionic club. Every guy on here has the odd moments that the equipment doesn’t seem right. There are a lot of factors happening for you now.
My best educated guess would be your pump and valve are new and built to last a long time. These valves are finicky and they commonly are irradic in behavior. Mine was nutty for a long while even the dr. Would have to cycle between the pump and the button to get into full erection mode.
My advice is stay with in your pain tolerance and occasionally fuss with it all, getting to feel of all the new equipment. It will even out.

Hey, welcome to the site. Like was posted these pumps need to wear in a bit to work properly. Try heat. Like ice packs early on heat with early cycling is your friend. I used a heat pad I kept plugged in in my bed. And I would just turn it on before going to bed at night and do my nighttime cycling. Then when I went to 2 a day cycling I would turn in on in the morning for my morning cycling. Heat helps with healing and softens the device and your tissue. Like I said heat is your friend. Find a way to use it.

Welp, I just went back to the doctor for my 6wk post op and he thinks the pump is defective...Not even 2 months in and already had to scheduled a revision surgery to replace the pump and tubes...I'm starting to regret my decision....If I lose my ability to get some sort of erection it will not be good for my mental status.

Hey Mike,

Contact your AMS rep. If it is not on your paperwork from the hospital call Boston Scientific and have them get the info for you. The Reps have a lot of fixes that are not in the DVD that was in the AMS packet. They can do some really good stuff and get you going. Worth a shot to avoid another surgery and to get on with your recovery.
