Thanks all for your wonderful advice and information (especially those that have PM'd me).

I've finally decided on implant (AMS 700) and my surgeon (Dr. Darshan Patel) at UC San Diego. Deciding between Dr. Loh Doyle at USC and Dr. Patel - both seem very experienced and know what they are doing, but wife and I just got a gut feeling that Dr. Patel would be a better match for us. Both are about 1.5 hr drive from us. Planning on a penoscrotum install with a scrotoplasty at the same time. Very excited but very much nervous as hell. Surgery scheduled for 4 weeks.

I plan on updating on my journey over the next few weeks as I've found that it have been very helpful to me personally to hear from others as they chronicle their journeys.

Cheers!

Congratulations! The first few days implanted may be bothersome; however, we've all been through it. Rest, ice and follow the provided instructions. I have grown to love my implant and only regret not helping myself sooner. Be positive and blessings.

Congrats! I understand being nervous. The thought of your dick getting sliced and diced is unsettling. I had my implant installed penoscrotal, PLUS the scrotalplasty AND the plaque incisions to correct my Peyronie's disease. I went night-night , unaware that I was even alive, and woke up 2 hours later all fixed and groggy. I wasn't nervous and would even say I was excited. If you've done your research on your surgeon and are comfortable with your decision, then put your mind at ease . Your about to have your E-Demons exorcised!

Congratulations on moving forward! Sounds like you’re headed in the right direction! Get your mind set as once it’s done it’s done! Keep a positive attitude, I’ve always said thru several major surgeries Ive had in the past…. Half of the battle is in your head! Positive attitude… accept that you’ve done the right thing and no regrets! I’ll admit I had a few weak moments thinking what have I done… but overall I had a very easy recovery. It’s a marathon not a sprint…. So hang in there and in a few months you will agree it’s been the right decision!

Congrats! I’m two weeks post surgery, and I’ll give you two bits of advice. The first is that if your recovery hits a rough patch in terms of swelling and bruising, it gets better pretty quick. So don’t freak out. The second is to get at least one pair of compression shorts in a size smaller than you would normally. They keep everything in place and help with swelling!

Congrats again,
Leto
