Trading in new Titan for AMS after 90 days.

I'm sharing this not to persuade, but to give people something to think about if they're deciding between implants. And I am very aware that there are thousands and thousands of Titan owners who are very pleased. This is just MY experience.

24CM Titan implanted 3/20 by Dr. Clavelle. Have a replacement scheduled end of July for an AMS.

The main issue is flaccid. It feels awful to me. It literally feels like I have large fast-food straws crammed in my dick. They fold like a straw. It feels like a straw when flaccid. I leave it pumped 30-40% just to avoid that, but end up sleeping on my side with a kickstand.

I'm in an new relationship and sex is fine. It works fine when I inflate it, but I don't even want her touching it if it's flaccid. It feels SO unnatural. It crinkles and the dog ears are so bad. Not painful, just awful looking. Wrap some fabric around a straw and then bend it. That's exactly what this is like. Again, when hard I could drive a golf ball down a fairway.

Before my surgery in March I read hundreds of posts on this board. Looking back, I can say that I was definitely romantic about the Titan given the over emphasis on rigidity. I'm sure the AMS gets hard enough for penetration, which is the goal. Today I'll take 70% of the rigidity to feel like my girlfriend could fondle me without it feeling totally unnatural.

I'm sure some are going to say it's going to feel "some" unnatural because it is unnatural. That's true, but it should feel unnatural the same way a breast implant is unnatural. We know its not real, but it looks and feels great. Imagine if a breast implant was only great after being inflated? Imagine if not inflated it was like a bag or doritos inside that breast pocket.

If by some chance anyone on here went from a titan to an AMS, I would LOVE to hear your experience.

How do you think the sex is compared to a normal penis? You get any bloodflow to the corporas at all?

Btw many people complain about the titan in the beginning but say that it softens after 6-12 months and the unnatural feeling goes away. You sure you cant give it a little more time before doing a revision?

The sex is great - feels pretty much the same. I was very excited about this girl so I was very aroused. No issue with blood flow to the glans. Although at rock hard, and even flaccid, the right tube looks and feels like it's about to pop out of the tip of my dick. It looks like you could almost write with it. I've heard guys say it has softened, but I just don't buy it. I don't think this could soften to anywhere near what would feel normal. I'm sure the dog ears would have rounded edges as opposed to sharp, but the complete fold will always be there. The wrinkling will always be there. I've read enough (admittedly, I should have considered this aspect more before surgery) to be convinced that the AMS and the silicone will give me the most natural feeling. From what I can tell, it's a big difference.

I would love to hear from anyone who has made the switch I'm about to do. If not, I'll be the first and contribute back here and share my story.

I have had a titan for 16.5 months, I have definitely been oversized, it is hard and annoying, the dog ears hurt and it hurts under the glans due to its rigidity even when flaccid, my doctor is looking for a hospital to give me a revision with ams cx making me pay only for the device, I can't wait to take this titan out of my dick, it has become like a tight shoe

Still have the Titan implanted, revision comes the end of this month (June 2024), doctor said he will put in the AMS 700 LGX, can't wait to give it a workout.

I think you need to give it sometime. I understand how you feel about it being looking unnatural, but from what I read here, most people with Titan say the same thing about the hard flaccid, but after about a year, the cylinders get softer.
Going under the knife again in a few months can happen in case of big problems with the implant. There are risks associated with the surgery. If it stopped working on its own, then make the switch immediately.

Agreed, had my titan for 3 years this month. The deflated/flaccid state is terriblly unnatural. Feels like sharp crinkled plastic straws when deflated. My question is: how much more natural is the AMS? 90%? 50%? At the end of the day it'll still be two plastic straws in your dick, just hopefully softer and suppler ones.

From what I hear, AMS is very natural compared to Titan. If I deflated completely, I feel the kinks though. I press the release button till the buzz stops. I squeeze my dick a little but leave some saline in so that it is about 20% inflated.
However, if someone played with it whether inflated or deflated, she can notice that it's unnatural. This doesn't bother me. I did it to get an erection enough for sex and with the implant, I have the stiffness that I had when I was a teenager.
