Hi all,
This is my first post, but I have been an avid reader of the forum for the past couple of months and am very grateful that this resource exists.
I have been diagnosed with a fairly strong venous leak which I basically had all my life, and I have accepted that an implant is the only solution for me.
I am considering Dr. Hakky, and am also leaning towards an AMS 700 mostly because I am a pretty active, sportswise, person and the weak tubing in the Titan greatly concerns me. The large flacid state of the Titan is also a secondary concern.
I was hoping that maybe someone on this board had an AMS implanted by Dr. Hakky and would be willing to share his experience. I am in Europe, so would like a doctor on the east coast. Dr. Hakky ticks all the boxes (excellent reputation, reltively young, Atlanta is relatively convenient to reach for me), but I see that he has syrong connections to Coloplast and I assume has a lot more experience with the Titan.
I read from someone on these boards that he was willing to install an AMS, so I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with him actually installing one. I have a consultation with him soon, but would just to get some opinions beforehand.
Thanks a lot guys!

Re: Hakky and AMS advice
I only know Dr Hakky by reputation but agree that he is one of THE surgeons to search for. I understand he’s more of a Coloplast guy.
If you are thinking about AMS and since you are already traveling, you might want to consider Dr. Clavell in Houston. I know him only by reputation but he seems to be in a small group of surgeons who implants large numbers of implants from both manufacturers.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.
Re: Hakky and AMS advice
Thanks for the replies guys. If there were a direct flight to Houston, I would have certainly considered Dr. Clavell. But being about 13 hours away by plane with tight connections scares me a bit (a lot, actually!) in case any complications arise.
Re: Hakky and AMS advice
I have a Titan but was implanted by Dr Hakky. We agreed on the Titan due to PD and its performance in straightening curvature.
I would recommend him to anyone, he is a class act, down to Earth and accessible. His staff is very good also.
You will be in good hands.

Re: Hakky and AMS advice
There were a few reasons I excluded Hakky back in 2018 when I had my first surgery. One he was doing almost all Titans back then. May have been all Titans as Perito does. Not a bad thing if Titan is the best choice for you. But at least a consult by a doctor that is neutral on brands and high volume and can advise which brand is best is what I think is best. My original doctor did both and I just let him pick as he knew more about it that me. Hakky seemed to do a lot of work with injections and a drain that my doctor did not. My doctor did go after bleeders, and I had very little bruising whereas some photos from men who went to Hakky had a lot. Could be the other men needed a lot more work than I did but it entered into the picture. Then when I was looking for someone to do my repair, I did talk with Hakky and he was dead set on removing my 21 cm lgx. Same with my e-mail with Eid. Even though I and other men on this board are very happy with our 21 cm lgx. Atlanta was a direct flight for me also. And was my layover for Baltimore. I just did not feel like Hakky liked AMS 700 products that much. He really wanted to take out my LGX and put a Titan in. Said he would use a CX if I really had to have an AMS product but he did not sound happy about doing so. I did not want to go to a doctor that was not happy with the device they were using. Not sure who I would go to today. Maybe Wang in TX.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.
