Please tell me the best way to deal with this catheter sharing my cock with my implant.
I am having a 70 years old BPH betrayal. I woke up Saturday morning and I couldn’t piss. Once it got painful, I went to the ER and they shoved a Foley catheter down Mr. Happy. I told them I had an implant. After the insertion of the catheter, I bled copiously for a while. They attached a bag to my leg, told me it was my BPH prostate, and sent me home with instructions see a urologist.
I fear that they somehow damaged my urethra when they shoved it in that tight space. I’m in a lot of pain, Especially at the tip where the catheter is coming out. It’s irritated and scabbed over. Every time I move, the catheter moves and rubs against that sore, ouch. I see my urologist tomorrow morning hoping that after a week of taking 5 mg of Cialis and 10 mg of an alpha blocker daily for a week my prostate will have shrunk it enough to allow me to piss normally.
The ER doctor said they’ll (the urologist) will empty my bladder and fill it up with saline solution and see if I can piss on my own. If I can’t then it’s the catheter until I pick a treatment for my BPH. I can’t even imagine wearing this contraption for another week much less three months. That’s a lot of stuff to be shoved into finite space. Also my implant inflates slightly especially when walking around. I don’t know if it’s gravity or what. I have to press the button and deflate. The skin on my penis is inflamed too from reaction to either 5% lidocaine ointment or Aspercream/Lidocaine 4% so now I’m worried about infection. YIKES
Is this common in the Bionic Brotherhood?

Re: Catheters and implants
Unfortunately as you've discovered a catheter is not really compatible with an implant for any extended period of time. Don't mean to scare you but check out this paper where they found a very high occurrence of urethral erosion (have to remove implant) after having a catheter in for a while
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8164880/
As the paper says, if you need the catheter in for any more than a day or two I would push hard for a suprapubic catheter to be installed.

Re: Catheters and implants
I’ve used disposable catheters for at least 10 years. Yes, I hate Foley’s and am not really fond of self catching but it beats the Hell out of dying.
I was already using them when I got my implant. They are not incompatible.
Ask your doctor if doing it yourself is an option.

BPH is common among older men. Your urologist will guide you regarding your options. Hang in there.
Your implant won’t get infected because of it.
Sorry you are so uncomfortable. Follow the advice of a urologist you trust.

55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.
Re: Catheters and implants
They make little clamps that attach to your leg and the hose clamps into it. That keeps the hose from pulling and tugging on your penis as you move. Nurse put gauze around the tip of my penis when I had a catheter for a couple days. Think that helped.
